their first game they had a

Mrs. Ben Mole on Sunday.

Elmer Cook and Kevin on
Saturday were Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Ashton and Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Schultz and
Terry, all, of Goderich.
Mrs. Mary,. (Les) Schultz
• was admitted to Wingham
Hospital. on Thursday even-
ing in very poor condition. It
is hoped for much improved
health and better news in the
next few days.
Tammy Lumsden of Kitch-
ener spent a few days with
her friend, Wanda Park and
the Park family.
ST. PATRICK'S DANCE
The St. Patrick's day
dance held at the Agriculture
Hall was a rousing success.
The money from this dance is
to be used for playground
equipment for a proposed
playground on the grounds at
the hall.
There were 10. tables of
play at the euchre party on
Wednesday evening. High
lady was Lynn Noble and
high man was Art Young.
Low lady was a tie between
►n?y Wiggins,and, Elaine.Er-
rington with Amy winning on
the lucky number. Low man
was Allan McWhinney. The
articles on the white elephant
able were auctioned off by
Clarence Allin.
Wes and Kay Nivins who
recently had a barn fire and
lost a' considerable amount of
livestock, will have a benefit
dance in their honour on
March 31st at the Agricul-
ture Hall. • t.

married 55 years

lingering illness.. Relatives
were her for the funeral on
Saturday afternoon.

ing the holiday in Toronto
with Dr. and Mts. Iman

Mrs. i'Roy Shaw were dinner

We were sorry to hear of
the death of Mrs. Lorne
Sanderson of Wingham. She
was the former Bessie Pin-
neIl and was born and raised
here. The funeral was held at
Wingham on Saturday after-
noon.

Hospital- where he was ad-
mitted on Friday following a
fall at his home.
Mrs. Gladys Rivett is a
patient in Goderich Hospital
following a heart attack
suffered on March 4th. She is
coiningalong slowly, and
without her pacemaker the
'results would have been
more severe.
Robin Johnston and a
girlfriend of London visited
on Sunday with her grand-
mother, Charlotte, then visit-
ed with her grandmother,
Russell at Pinecrest Manor in
Lucknow.
Mrs. Emma McDowell and
two children of London also
visited on Sunday and will
remain ,..a. few days with
Charlotte.

UNITED CHURCH
"Judgement", second in
the series on Old Evangelical
Landmarks, was' the subject
of Rev. C. G. Westhaver's
sermon on Sunday morning.
The children's story was,
"On Doing What You Can".
The choir sang the anthem,
"Hes only a prayer away", -
led by organist, Mrs. Jean
Elliott.
The Willing Workers are
planning an Easter Smorg-
asbord supper early in April.

Plans are underway for
anniversary service in the"fall
on September 16th.
Bible Study is becoming
more and more popular in
United Church congregations
. across the country. While
this activity is undergoing a
revival there has often been a
Lenten study . group in our
churches. If anyone is inter-
ested in the formation of
such a groupfor informal
study, discussion and prayer
please let ..the minister know.
It could welbtake the form of
a cottage prayer meeting and
be held on a week night in
homes wherethere are shut
ins.
