of injuries received in a ear
accident. He was 52.
Born on the B line of
Howick Township on Novem-
ber 19, 1927, he was the son
of the late William. Adams
and the late Beatrice .Griffith.
He attended Wroxeter Pu-
blic School until the sudden
death of his mother in 1938.
He moved with his father and
family to Wingham where he
finished his education, He
took up the trade -of brick-
layer with his father for
several years. He also work-
ed with the Department of
Highways and was one of the
first men to work the night
shift on. Highway 86 between.
Wingham ' and Kincardine.
He worked in Rosetown, Sas-
katchewan and Lynne Lake,
Manitoba,
• He returned to White-
church in 1955 and in August
1956. he married 7Donanne
Caesar of . Dungannon, who
survives_ He is also survived
by one son, Murray and a
daughter, M Dawne, both . at
home.. Also surviving are a
brother,.. Raymond of Kitch-
ener and three sisters, Len-
- ore,
en--ore; Mrs. Oliver-. Glenn of•
Lucknow, .: Maybelle, Mrs.
Kenneth. Hoffman, of Tor-
onto and Jeanette, Mrs. Leo
Duggan of .Stayner:..
-.He was .predeceased by
two . brothers; . Murray in
1939, and Robert of: Kinloss
in 1978„ his mother in .1938,
and 'his father in 1975. . .

.Lorraine Roberta Hamil-
ton, Lucknow, .died suddenly
of a heart attackat: her home
on Sunday, March 4,- 1979.
She was 42.
Born in Ashfield Township
on January 11; 1937, she was
the daughter of the late
Frank Haamiltnn and the late
Grace 'MacLennan, both of
Ashfield.
She was a member of the
Ashfield Presbyterian
Church and the Ladies Aux-
iliary of the Royal Canadian
Legion, Branch 309, Luck -
now.
She is survived by her
eight sisters, Isabelle, Spils-
bury, London; Frances
Srnuck, London; Betty Han-
na, London; Violet Elliott,
Ripley; Donna. Gauntlett,
London; - Shirley Hunter,
Lucknow; Raeleen Campbell,
London and Marion Cook,
Lucknow,
The funeral service. was

and McCreath Funeral
Home, Lucknow, on Wed-
nesday; March 7, 1979 at
2.00.pm:'Mr. Hugh Nugent,
of Ashfield Presbyterian
Church conducted the serv-
ice.

Michael Godfrey Cummins.
of Piriecrest Manor,. `Luck -
now, formerly of Patrick.
Street, Wingham, died Tues-
day, March 6, 1979, at the
Wingham and District Hos-...
pital. He was in. his 91st year.
Mr. Cummins was born in
West Wawanosh Township'
on December 10, 1888, a son
of the late Thomas Cummins,
and Mary Ellen McCourt..He
attended school at St. Augus-
tine and farmed there for
many years. He retired in
'1960.
He was a member of St.
Augustine Roman Catholic
Church and the. Knights of
Columbus.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Mary Irene Boyle,
one son, Dr. James Thomas
Cummins of Cambridge; one
daughter, Mrs. • Donald

The 5th, meeting of the
Holyrood Little Extras was
held at the home of. Mrs. B.
Gingrich on March 9. Pres-
ident, Lea. Anne Haldenby
opened the meeting.
All members demonstrat-
ed three ways to tie a scarf as
their answer to the roll call.
Beth Gingrich read the min-
utes of the previous meeting
which were accepted as read.
Mrs. Gingrich led a discus-
sion on the 'selection of and
care of handbags and shoes.
Examples of .the variety of
handbags were shown.
The Achievement Day ex-
hibit was discussed after
:-. which the meeting was dos-
ed.

The fifth meeting of the St.
Helens 14-H club -was , held in
the St. Relens Hall on Satur-
day, March 10th.
The group read from the
member's . pamphlets and
learned the care of jewellery.
The members then exchang-
ed. a piece of jewellery of
their own for another and
discussed them. `
, The meeting 'was •closed"
with the 4-H creed.
