We are sorry to report that John Hodgins is a patient in Owen Sound General and Marine Hospital with a frac- tured leg, facial cuts and shock, following a two car collision -on Wednesday. The Women's Institute euchre party was held at the hall at Holyrood on Thursday night, Nine tables were in play, with prizes going to high. lady, Mrs. Jack Scott; high gent, Cliff Johnston. Lucky draws went to Shirley Knorr and Bill Ferguson. Arthur Haldenby went to Toronto on Friday to attend the funeral.. of the late Keith Doherty. Mr. and Mrs. H. Bennett brought . Mr. Hal- denby home and spent the weekend. The late Keith Do- herty was a nephew. ANGLICAN CHURCH WOMEN Mrs. Bert Nicholson was hostess for the March meet- ing of the A.C.W. Mrs. Delbert Hedley presided and opened the meeting„ yfith a poem followed by prayers. Miss Edna Boyle read the scripture.' Two of the members ex- pressed appreciation for cards that they received recti_ ently. Mrs. Ronald Thacker read the minutes of the previous meeting and the roll call was answered by naming a Biblical Saint.. Plans were made for a bale to be sent in the spring and each member is asked, for a contribution of clothing to be. brought to the April meeting at the home of Mrs. Midford Wall. Mrs. Ronald Thacker was the convener and opened the program with a hymn and conducted two contests. Mrs. Bert Nicholson gave the meditation on St. Patrick and also gave a humorous read- ing, "The Bible Study Class". Mrs. Howard . '1 Thompson gave a splendid review of the Huron Church News and also a contest and e Mrs. Roy Schneller gave a reading. N Rey. George Garratt gave a very interesting talk on Lent, and why it is observed and closed the meeting with I prayer. Mrs. Ronald Thacker gave the courtesy remarks. Mrs. Howard Thompson, ' the lunch convener, and her. helpers served refreshments.
