HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Lucknow Sentinel, 1979-03-07, Page 23NORMA ANDERSON McRONAGH Norma Marion (Anderson) McDonagh 'of Lucknow died suddenly in Tucson, Arizona on February 24, 1979 at the age of 64. She was a member of the Lucknow United Church and the United Church Women. She was born in Alberta on June 21, 1914, a daughter of the late Fred Anderson and the late Marion Girvin. She married the late John k. McDonagh in Lucknow on November 10, 1934. She is survived by five sons, Murray, Sault Ste. Marie; Chuck, Tucson, Ari- zona; Ross, Manotick; Barry, Lucknow and Rod, Lucknow. She is also survived by two brothers, Dave Anderson, Toronto and Charles- Ander- son, Huronview and her hus- band's sister, Emma, .Mrs. Ed MacKenzie, Loden. ' She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1977 and 'her sister, Dorothy And- erson in 1927. The funeral was held at the - MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in Lucknow on Thursday, March 1, 1979 at 2.00 p.m. Rev. Doug Kauf- man of the Lucknow United Church conducted the serv- ice. Honorary pallbearers were Ken, Gardner, Russ Button, Harvey • Webster, Ernie Crawford, Doug' , Anderson, Gary MacKenzie and Oliver McCharies. • • • Pallbearers were Arm-, strong Wilson, Cliff Craw- ford, Alex. Andrew; Donald —Mackinnon, Wilbur BrOwn, – and Jam's :Hunter. Temporary entombment is • in South Kinloss Mausoleum with spring burial in Green- hill Cemetery. Township, he had retired about 10 years ago. He was :born on January 12, 1904, the son of the late Patrick Gilmore, Ashfield and the late Mary Ann. Gilpin, St. Augustine. Fle-neVer married. • He is survived by his brother, Edward Gilmore, Pinecrest Nursing, • Home. Lucknow. He was predeceased by his brother. Henry in 1968 and a brother., Jim in. infancy: The funeral was held at St. Joseph's , Roman Catholic Church, Kingsbridige, on Monday, February 26, 1978 at 0.00 a.m. Father Dentinger conducted the ser- vice. • Pallbearers were Lorne Cook, Bev McNay, Allan Gibson, Art Helm, Donald Gibson and Gerald Gilmere• MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, were in charge of the –al, rangements.
