villa, Ripley celebrated
her 97th birthday. Home
to visitwith her for the
occasion was her son
Donnie MacLean of
Toronto. Luncheon was
served by Isabelle Brboks
and .Mrs. .'Anna
MacTavish.

families` of the Ripley%,y,
Huron area• attended the
funeral of the late -Rev.
Duncan MacTavish -in
London; The service was
heldin Calvary United
Church where he once
was the minister.
Interment was in London.
Rev. MacTavish, a native
of the Olivet areaof the,
second concession of
Huron township has been
a resident in the
McCormick Nursing
Home . in London till
mid'December.
In this area he is sur-
vived by his brother Jim
of Lucknow and a sister
Mrs. Elizabeth • Street
formerly of Kincardine
and now . in. Strathroy,
also by . a number . of
nephews and nieces. He°is
survived by one son John -
D. MacTavish of Arizona.
Son of the late Mr, and
Mrs. Peter MacTavish he
grew up on the family
homestead, - now the
grpavel pit, farm second
one west of Olivet on the
north side of the 2nd
concession. The- house
-and barn now gone were
up on the high hilt` across
the river. Our thanks to
Mrs,. Katherine' Coiling of
Ripley for the in-
formation on his•funeral.
