A dull mild overcast morning, there were these two crows flying around in the •north. end of the village CAWING loudily and since there were no lions or lambs in sight hence the writer arrived at the above conclusion. And it should go out like a robin. The night of Mar. 1, last Thursday, cooled the air resulting in a heavy pea soup fog. Despite these conditions George McLean ' and Roddy• MacDonald of Ripley motored to Port Elgin and back..; They were attending the Bruce: County. Mutual Fire Aid meeting held in the Complex there. They represented the Ripley Firefighters.., ..These meetings are held 'on first. Thursday evening each month. The next one is in Mildmay On Apr: 5. Mrs:, Elaine ' Cote, who was seriously injured when struck down: by a car on Highway 21 at Kingsbridge on Christ mas Eve, was recently able to return to her home on William $treet in Ripley. Elaine 'has spent. the winter in .University Hospital in :London under the: treatment' -of the doctors and nurses there. Ripley folks are glad. to learn of her . return home.
