The Lncknow Farmer's Market hours for
this suminer have been changed 10 8.30 a.m.
to. 11.30 a.m. °Saturday mornings. The
Market will run from June 9, every Saturday
until September 8. These two decisions were
made at the meeting held last Monday,
February 19, for vendors.
Twelve people attended and indicated
they would be selling bedding plants, herbs,
house plants, baked goods, fresh vegetab-
les of all kinds, fruits, knitting, crochet work,
macrame, doll clothes, and other crafts.
It was decided to remain at the same
location on the Lucknow Agricultural Society
grounds adjoining Highway 86 just east of
the Sales Barn, with the rainy day location of
the old Silverwood's building. Interest was'
expressed in exploring with the Lucknow
Agricultural Society the possibility of
erecting an open shed at the site as
relocating the market on rainy mornings
makes it hard for customers to find. •
The vendor rate will remain $3 per day
with a season's rite available for $25.
Vendors are reminded that they have to
provide their own display stand and table.
Market clerk responsibilities will be shared
by several of the regular vendors.
The Lucknow Farmer's Market is spon-
sored by. the Lucknow Agricultural Society
and is open to vendors residing in Ashfield,
West Wawanosh, East Wawanosh, Huron,
Kinloss, and Culross Townships and the
Village of Lucknow. Produce, goods, and
crafts must be handmade and' produced
within this area.
Vendor applications are available from
Bill's Place, Lucknow, and Sieker's fseneral
Store, St. Helens, and should be mailed to
Tony McQuail, R. R. 1 Lucknow.
