Look well - remember
those who'll never 'see.
Hear truly for others in a
silent world will always
be.
Speak kindly - some will
never talk.
Step proudly - many cannot
walk.
Do not forget, when tempted
to complain,
These gifts, Once _lost, are
seldom found again.

Langside
BY LILLIAN YOUNG
This cold frosty weather
we have had this last while
leaves no doubt that this is
February.
Langside bowlers who
bowl in the mixed league in
Wingham seem to be doing
well. Several had their nam-
es in the over 200 score about
Measles seem to be mak-
ing their rounds this year
with scholars attending F. E.
Madill seeming to be the
hardest hit. We hope they
will all soon be better and
able to go back to school,
especially with exams soon
coming up.
In the hydro black out a
week ago, hydro around here
was off about 21/4 hours. Not
long compared to some plac-
es around Lucknow and
district but unless you have a
wood stove or ,fireplace, it
doesn't take long for houses
to get cold at this time of
year.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Moffat,
attended the baptism of their
grandson Trevor Murray,
son of Mr. and Mrs: Murray
Moffat, of Lucknow, at the
Presbyterian Church, Luck -
now on Sunday, February 11.
Ron George who has been
working. for the telephone
company in Londonthis last
two weeks returned to, his
regular work in Walkerton on
the weekend.

man visited with her mOther,
Mrs. Nell, in Stayner on
Thursday.
Liane Young spent Satur-
day night with her. grandpar-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Young.
