League win consolation trophy in Ripley A team of Pee Wee age players, was selected from the six Saturday morning, teams to play in the House League Tournament in Rip- ley. In the first* game, Luck - now, starting a bit slowly after only one practice to- gether, lost 5 - 2 to the Blyth entry. In the second game, the Bantams a game away from DD championship BY BILL TAYLOR • On February .14 Lucknow Bantams went to Paisley for the first game in the WOAA finals and came home with a 7 to 1 win. Kent Alton scored 2 goals with singles going to Glen Raynard, David Gibson, Ar- thur Clark, Ken Atkinson and Brian Taylor. In the assist department, Arthur • Clark and Mike Humphrey • received •two •while Don Greer, Glen Raynard, Gerald Cook, George Alton, Paul • Maclntyre, David Gibson and Ken Atkinson each as- • sisted on one. On February 15 Paisley returned for the second game • and again the boys emerged victorious with a 9 to 4 Kore. Gled Raynard led ;the way with 3 goals ancL4 -assist. Allan Eadie- --scc:d two, while single goals went to David Pritchard, Brian Tay- lor, Ken Atkinson and Athur Clark. David Gibson collect- ed three assists, Gerald Cook assisted on two, David Prit- chard, George Alton, Lance Sanderson, each assisted on one. After playing two scoreless periods, Lucknow got two goals in a span of 18 seconds to win the game 2 - Rodney Cayley and Sam- my Murray each had a goal and an assist with Scott Gibson getting 1 assist. Good work Guys! Ouse League The Black Hawks and the -Maple Leafs played to a 5 - 5 tie during House League at the Lucknow arena on Satur- day. Peter Kohnert and Robert Steffler scored -two each for the Hawks and Scott Hackett scdred once. For the Leafs Mike Frayne led the way, with four goals and Troy Ritchie scored one. The Bruins shut out the Rangers 2 - 0 in their game. Steve Frayne and Chris Naylor:scored the goals. The Canadiens defeated the Red Wings 6 - 1. Gerald Martin and Dean Lindsay scored 2 for the Canadiens and Jim Jurjens and Chris Haldenby, scored the other Canadien markers.
