In O.M.H.A. playoffs
The Lucknow Midgets el-
iminated Paisley and moved
on to the O.M.H.A. playoffs
against Wainfleet when they
took the best out of five
series, three games to none.
On February 14 they took a
2 - 0 lead in the series in a
game they won 7 - 3.
Only . a good game by the..
Paisley goaltender and a bit
of erratic shooting and pas-
singby the ,locals held the
score down to seven for
Lucknow.
Scoring for Lucknow were
Al Rivett with'a hat trick and
an assist; Steve MacPherson,
2 goals and 1 assists; Larry
MacPherson, 1 goal and 3
assists; Steve Simpson, 1
goal and single assists went
to Doug Dorscht, Brad Hum-
phrey, Paul Finlay and Ed
Davidson.
On February 19; the Mid-
gets struck their final blow
and defeated Paisley 8 - 1.
' •Scoring for Lucknow were
Paul. Hamilton, 2 goals, 2
assists; Larry MacPherson, 1
goal, 2 assists; Steve Simp-
son, 1 goal, 2 assists; Al
. Rivett, 1 goal, 2 assists. Ed
Davidson, Steve MacPher-
son, Barry Elphick each
scored one goal and Paul
Finlay took 2 assists and
Mark Abbott took one.
Atoms losee one, win one

Monday's Atom action was
a '6 - A loss to Mildmay.
Although Mildmay got .6 foto
a fast .start with goals on
their first three shots, the
play was about even for the
full game. Mildmay broke a
4 - 4 tie late in the third to
earn the victory.
Danny Gilchrist had a .4
potnt"night with 2 goals and 2
assists. Dean Dickson had 2
points with 1 goal and. 1
assist. Donnie McFarlan ad
ded 1 goal and "'Richard•
MacDonald added 1 assist.
On Wednesday, the boys
travelled to Ripley and put
things together for a . good
team victory. In .fast gamey
that kept the fans close, team.
captain Brad Priestap^led the
team with a fine 'two-way
game.
Ripley opened the scoring
at '4:45 of the first on a goal
-. by Jeff Gamble but the lead
was short-lived as CBC scor-
ed on their next shift. Chris
Collyer scored the goal with
assists going to Brad' Pries
tap and. Chris Irwin.; .
Late in the second, CBC
put on a re -run to give
ucknow a 2 - 1 lead that held
t .ugh the third period for
t victory. .
O Friday, the scene shift-
ed . to Mildmay and a tie
game seemed +ike a good
way to complete the sched-
ule.

Donnie McFarlan stretch-
ed his scoring streak and
Darrell Durnin had a good
game on left wing.
Lucknow opened the scor-
ing early when Donnie Mc-
Farlan scored from Dean
Dickson' and Todd Park and
closed the scoring late in the
second when Danny Gilchrist
scored from Donnie McFar-
lan. Final score Mildmay 2,
Lucknow 2. -
Lancers lose
to Sailors
Friday night the Lancers.
travelled to Goderich for, a
game against the Sailors.
The first period was „very
close as both teams notched
a goal a piece; Lucknow''s
goal coming from RosS For-
sterwith the •assist going to
Greg Hamilton
The second period was all
Goderich as they scored five
goalsto take a commanding
lead into the third period.
In the third the Lancers
scored twice to the Sailor's
once. Lucknow's first goal
was scored by Ian Montgom-
ery with assists ` going to
Courtney and Stanley. The.
second goal was put in by
Dave Black assisted by John
MacKenzie. .
PLAY WINGHAM
On Sunday night the
Wingham Royals visited
Lucknow and after a high
scoring game had to settle
for a loss. " -'
In the first period the
Lances scored five times to
Wirigham's three., Goal scor-
ers for Lucknow were Shed -
don un'as'sisted; Greg Hamil-
ton from John Hamilton;
Ross Forster from Stanley
and Frayne; Greg Hamilton.

Things looked good for the
Lancers going into the sec-
ond period but Wingham had
different ideas"as they scored
five goals to Lucknow's three
to tie the game at eight
' apiece..
• Lucknow's goal came from
Wally "'Houston from Andy
Sheddon; Carl Stanley from
Doug Stevenson and Andy
Sheddon from Greg Hamil-
ton.
The third period was very
close with many close chanc-
es at both ends: . .
Finally Montgomery scor-
ed from Stanley to give the
Lancers the lead about half
way through the period.
The Lancers had to kill off
two penalties to keep the
slim one goal lead intact.
Wingham .pulled their goal-
tender for the extra attacker
with about 45 seconds left on•
the clock but Doug Stevenson
scored unassisted to salt the,
gameaway for the Lancers.
