Women gathered at the
home of Mrs. Roy Collins
and enjoyed .a pot luck noon
luncheon after which the
regular meeting was held.
The president, Mrs. Del-
bert Hedley, welcomed. ev-
eryone andfollowed with
prayer.

As this year marks the
115th anniversary of the first
church here, .and August
1979 is the 75th anniversary
of the present church, itwas
unanimous that new .pew -
size hymn books be purchas-,
ed, ' and presented as a
memorial. Rev. George Gar-
ratt, 'Mr's.: Delbert Hedley'
.and Mrs. Ronald Thacker are.
in. charge.
Plans were discussed for
the World Day of Prayer in
the Presbyterian Church.
Mrs, ., Howard Thompson
was program convener and
gave.a Valentine thought and
conducted a contest. She
assisted Mrs. • Roy Collins,
who gave.. an excellent. topic
.on "The Year of the, Child",
which , was : illustrated by
means of a poster. An open
discussion followed. •
Lovely . meditations were
