held at the benefit dance in
Ripley on Saturday night for
John and Kini Meyer. There
was a real good turn out.
A group of, about 45 F. E.
Madill students .enjoyed a
bus tour to Toronto on Satur-
day. There they toured the
Royal Ontario •Museum, the
Ontario Art Gallery, .the
Eaton Centre and the high-
light of the day MacDon-
ald's for dinner. .

trouble seeing his shadow, if.
he got up through the snow
on Friday yyftich was about
the sunniest day this winter.
Accordingto legend this
means six weeks more of
winter and looking at the
weather on Sunday and
Monday we can believe it.
Congrafulations to Mr.
Alex MacKenzie of "Lucknow
who celebrated his 94th
birthday on January 26. A
family gathering was held at
the home of his daughter,
Mr,. and Mrs. Farrish Moffat
with eleven guests present.
Karen Young " who has
been home sick 'with the
measles is' . feeling much
better and hopes to be ,back
at school some time this
week. •
Mr. and Mrs. Bev Kay and
Wendy of Kitimat visited
with his sister at. Listowel
and also called on members
of the Whitechurch, congreg-
ation a week ago. Mr. Kay
was student minister at the
Whitechurch and Langside
Presbyterian Churches be-
fore going to Kitimat.

Strathroy visited with their

George on the weekend.
