Mr. and Mrs. George Forler in Barrie and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Woods in Pem- broke. • Mrs, Warden Howald re= turned Sunday from a leng- thy trip to to West,: where she spent one week with her son Joe. in Surrey, B.C. _Mrs. Hvai•d travelled by car back to Edmonton and • spent a week with. ,relatives there: While there, Mrs. Stan 'And- erson of Calgaty visited with; her mother, Mrs., Howald. Mrs. Howald .also' . visited with he son, Arthur, at Fort Saskatchewan. She then flew from Edmonton to Winnipeg where another two •weeks were . spent visiting with her daughter; Mrs Pete Bedard, at Ile des Chenes; Mrs. Norma McDonagh, Mr. and Mrs. Barry McDon- agh and r. and Mrs. Rod McDonagh attended the wedding of Tony McDonagh 4-43 Elaine Syrette in Sault Ste. Marie on the weekend. Tony is the son of Mr. -and Mrs. Murray McDonagh. Gordon Lyons, R. R. 1 Lucknow, has returned home after spending three weeks in Wingham Hospital. ° Mrs. Donna -Garter, Luck - now, returned home on Thursday from University .Hospital in London,. after. undergoing surgery .again. ° Mr. and Mrs. Farish Mof- fat of Wingham entertained. on Saturday evening in hon- our of her father, Mr: Alex MacKenzie of Lucknow on the occasion of his 94th birthday, whichwas on .Jan- uary 26: Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mof- fat, Julie Ann, Kendra. and Alexander of Oakville, Mrs. :Neil MacCallum and Mt. and. Mrs. Bert Moffat of Luck - now. CB club folds It has been decided by the executive to disband Luck - now Club II as of the end of March.. This js due to lack of interest among local CBers to. attend meetings or takean active part in the Club. The executive would re- consider this decision if the emb m ership wishes at the March 12 meeting. In the past the club has helped in the area with Kin Summerfest,Tractor Pulls., searches for lostchildrenand downed aircraft and with Maitland Flood Control. The problem with keeping interest • in a CB Club is not local, but in all clubs in Ontario, partly due to high noise conditions because of sun spots which makes use of radios difficult. Fanny Wraith, Mrs. Gibson, Susan McNaughton, Mrs. Jardine, and Anna Johnstone present- ed several $ otch selections, accompanied by Edith Web ster.. A reading about Robbie Burns was given by Susan McNaughton and a mouth organ selection by Harry Lavis: Mrs. Jardine gavea read- ing and there was another selection by Mr. Webster and his friend and also a piano instrumental by Anna Johnstone.
