LUCKNOW . HYDRO SYSTEM finds it necessary to
increase;. retail rates effective March li, 1979..
Ontario Hydro has announced that the cost of power $;
purchased by Lucknow Hydro System from Ontario tS
Hydro daring 1979 will increase by about 9.8% $j
effective January 1, 1979. However,as a result of the S'
better than expected operations of Ontario Hydro in
1978 Lucknow' Hydro System will receive an anti- S
inflation discount • on, bulk power purchased . from.
Ontario; Hydro during 1979 presently estimated at 5%:
This rebate wW allow our Utility to hold the level of rate $1
increase to less than that which would otherwise be f,
required. .
Lucknow Hydro System will increase 'retail rates
by
appoximately 10.1% effective with all bills issued on*
add after February 1, 1979 for monthly baled aecounts t
and March 1, 1979 for by -monthly baled accounts.
The 4.9% anti-inflation discount which our custom-
ers received on energy used during 1978 wW be
discontinued.
The new rates will become effective on all residential ,#
billsissued on and after March 1, 1979.
