The fourth game
between Paisley and
Lion's Head also needed
penalty shots to decide a
winner as the teams
finished the regt4iation
game tied at 2-2. Paisley
was the eventual winner
by a snore of 4-3. Doug
Root, Bevin Gregg, Carl
Tanner, and Kent Hopes
scored for Paisley and
Jerry Caudle with two
goals and Brad Davis
tallied for Lion's Head. D.

In the first of the
consolation semi finals,
Teeswater dominated
Ripley by winning : the
game 12-2. Teeswater
scored 8 goals in the third
period for ' the eventual
win, Mark Walters led
Teeswater with 7 goals,
Tke third annual
Midget ,Hockey Tour-
nament sponsored by the
Ripley and. District Lions
Club was held at the
Ripley -Huron Corn-
munity Center Sat. Jan.
27. Teams from Hensall,
Howick,, Lion's Head,
Lucknow, Monkton,
Paisley, Ripley and
Teeswater competed for
the championship and
consolation trophies with
the Lucknow Lions
Midgets taking the
overall championship
and Howick Midgets
winningthe consolation
round.
Tournament games
started at 8 o'clock in the
morning and continued
all day until Howick
defeated Teeswater for
tile,' Consolation Trophy
and ended with Lucknow
downing Hensall for the
Championship 'Trophy.

Howick M-idgets -was
selected the Most
Valuable Player in the.
tournament. Fan support
for the teams produced a
good attendance
throughout the day.
The tournament
started with Lucknow
beating • Teeswater . 7-2,
Lucknowheld. a 4-1 lead
after the first period and
after a scoreless second

third period but Howick
scored three goals to win
