were baptized by Rev. Wil-
liam Munshaw on January
• 14, 1979 at the Lucknow
Presbyterian Church, The
families returned to the
home of Mr. and " Mrs.
Harold Humphrey after .the
service, where they enjoyed
a smergasbord lunch. At-
tending the lunch were Rev.
• and Mrs. William Munshaw,
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hodden,
Mr,s. Sharon Hoff, Mr. and
•Mrs. Jini 'England, Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Humphrey and
family and Jamie, Vona and
Darrin Humphrey.
Mrs. Eva McColloch suf-
fered a heart attack on Sun-
day and is in.intensive care in
Wingharn and District Hos-
pital. •
Miss Fay Hogan and Mr.
John Cusolito of London;
visited on theiveekend with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Con Hogan, Ashfield.
Mrs. Janet Barger, Luck -
now; is a patient in Owen.
Sound General and Marine
Hospital, Owen Sound.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
On Wednesday, January
10th the Lucknow .Jr. Wom-
en's Institute held their
annual meeting at the Town
Hall. . , •
All offices were declared
open. The election of officers
were: president, Nancy Ait-
chison; 'vice president, Shirl-
ey Colwell; secretary , treas-
urer, Pat Porter; Public Rela-
tions • officer, Joan Living-
.

ston.
The meeting was then
turned over to. the leaders of
Needlepoint for Beginners
class. Thirty-five ladies. reg-
istered and paid their fees to
cover costs of the materials
required. The ladies- ranged
in ages from -young school
girls to Senior Citizens.
The class on Tuesday
night, January 16th, had a
little excitement when some-
one locked the women in at
the Town, Hall. The front
door can °illy be opened with,
a key from inside as well is
outside. Debbie Johnston
was able to get out a back
door 'aft& some earching
and plunge through deep
snow to summonhelp, She
phoned Alf Herbert from Stu
Collyer's and Alf came and
unlocked the door. The group
would like to thank them for
.their assistance.,

thought they might spend
the whole of Tuesday night in
the Town Hall. When the
balance of the ladies wef
ready to leave the Needle-
point Classes 4',in Tuesday
evening they found they
were locked in. After cons*.
etable searching, they found
a door that opened out and a
telepluine call was made to
Alf Herbert who came to the
rescue.
