The scripture was read by Mrs,• Donnie MacDonald, . followed with prayer by Mrs. John MacEwan. The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. The treasurer reported having sent the allocation to the Presbyterial treasurer and also $100. to the "Dock Project." No one volunteered to go as a delegate to the "Annual Meeting" of the Presbyterial at Wingham on Jan. 15, Donalda Gossel reported having sent ten boxes to the "Shut -Ins" at Christmas and also a treat for the Nugent family. Several "Thank You" notes from same were read. A "Get Well'! card was signed for our secretary VioletMartyn Who has been _ ill. The " The 'courtesies were expressed by Mrs. W. J. ' Mackay. The meeting closed with prayer by Amelia.; Grace was, sung and a cup of tea served by the - committee Amelia Cumming; Mary D. MacDonald and Martha MacXver and a social time spent. The congregation of Knox Presbyterian '1 Church in Ripley are still enjoying the beautiful red poinsettia presented by Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Marr at Christmas in memory of her parents Mr. and Mrs. D.B.•MacLeod. World Day of Prayer" is March 2 and the meeting will be in the "Presbyterian Church". The topic was well and ably given by Mrs. Frances Nugent who introduced the new "Study Book" on "Contemporary China." Ripley assisted by Vin- cent 'Wright with John.. Bak scoring, unassisted. In Atom action Ripley defeated Teeswater by a score of 6-1: Steven Keelan scored the first goal from Clinton Towlan. Darryl Verbeek 'scored twice and Clinton Towlan, Jeff,Gamble and Todd Farrell each got, a goal. .Doug-Hawrylyshan, Jeff Godfrey, Darryl Verbeek, Jeff Gamble and Clinton Towlan assisted. In •Lucknow, Ripley. Atoms again tame out on top : . winning over Lucknow 8-1 • Steven Keelan led . the attack with Clinton Towlan assisting. Jeff •Godfrey came up with 3 goals and .1 assist, Jeff Gamble 2 goals and '3 assists. Todd Farrell' scored 2 goals unassisted. The ,Ripley Atoms were not so -lucky in Mildmay. They lost to Mildmay 2-0, The 'Pee Wee A's played against' Lucknow, and came out On top in a close game winning 1-2. Shawn 'Morrison scored Ripley's first goal assisted by Paul Harris. Todd Walden came through with the second goal assisted by Eddie Moore and" Randy Collins scored one unassisted. Also in Pee Wee A action, Ripley defeated Tiverton in a close game winning 6-5. The Pee Wee B's lost to Kincardine 9-4. Brian Barns scoredtwice, once <::, ",unassisted° and the other assisted from Greg Dah- mer. 'Other goals -were scored by Luke Lernire, and Greg' Dahmer. Assisting were'D:avid McLean and Brian Barns. Also in Pee Wee. B action Ripley wiped.. out Teeswater 7-0. Greg Dah- mer got the first goal unassisted. Mike ^ Nicholson went all out scoring 6 goals, 4 unassisted then with `Luke Lernire and Mike Clement assisting. The Bantam Boys hada: tight game with Tiverton losing to Tiverton 4-3. Dave Gamble, Ian Elliott and Kevin Boyle each came through with 1 goal. • Assisting were Gary Rutledge and Paul Irwin: The Juvenile Girls didn't fair so well in their game against Belmore. Bel more won 10-0. The Juvenile Boys shut out Kincardine 7-0. Frank Storey and Brian Culling. each scored twice with Mike Pollock, Robert Regier and Keith Pollock getting, single tallies, Greg Stevenson, Brian Coiling, Robert Regier, Keith Pollock, and Mike Pollock received assists. The Juvenile Boys came out on top again defeating Wingham by a score of 2-0. Robert Regier and. Greg. Stevenson each gota goal with Frank Storey and Robert Regier assisting.
