held and all were returned to

-Mrs, Ron MeClement, who
has been employed for the past
three years at the Rural Hydrq
office in Wingliam, joined the
office staff with the RuralHydro
in Listowel Monday morning.
-Mr. and Mrs, Bob Rumple
of Burlington visited one day
last week with Mr. and Mrs.
Alex Ncith.
-Mrs. Stan Bride was in Tor-
onto last week where she at--+
tended a F.W.I. O. board meet-
ing held in the King Edward
Hotel. At the meeting Mrs.
Bride was appointed to the
Board of The Federated Women:s
Institute of Canada.
-Mr. and Mrs. Ted Klaassen
and Teddy spent Monday in
London and Aylmer.
-Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hartman
of Gowanstown visited Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Wm.Sothern.
-Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bec-
ker of Kitchener visited Sunday
with Miss Mary Cattanach and
Noble,
-Mrs. Pearl Patterson arid
her daughter, Mrs. William
Austin and Matthew visited for
a couple of days last week with
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Patterson,
and with Miss Leslie Campbell.
-Miss Ruth Johnston spent a
couple of days last week in Tor-
onto with her sister, Mrs, Ja-
nette Lindsay.
-Mr. and Mrs. Robert Con-
nell were in Toronto over the
weekend to help their daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Duncan move their house-
hold effects to Brampton where
they recently purchased a home.
-Mr. and Mrs, Dave Dins-
more and Mrs. Mary Sanderson
spent one day last week in Lon-
don.
-Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Sim-
mons and Kenneth and Mrs.
Roy Simmons spent Saturday in
Kitchener.
-Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bride and
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Moore and
Pam of London visited Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs. Stan Bride.
-Mrs. George Richards,
Jimmie and Carol Anne of Lon-
don spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Austin Stinson.
-Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jacob-
son and Curt, and Mr. and Mrs.
Gary Jacobson, Kim and Shelly
were Sunday guests as the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Wm.Demer-
ling in Durham.
-Mrs. Phyllis Bolander was
confined several days last week
to Listowel Memorial Hospital.
-Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Miller
and family spent Sunday with
Mrs, Ii, Aiteheson, in Biota.
-Mr. and Mrs, Earl Moore
spent Sunday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs, Jack Bricker in
Baden.

Wallace left last week for Los
Angeles where they will spend
three weeks with their son and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice
Wallace,

-Miss Sharon Pollock of
Kitchefier spent the weekend
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

ted their 46th wedding anniver-
sary on November 29.

last week for the annual meet-
ing.

presides for W.I.
FORDWICH-The November
meeting of the Women's Insti-
tute was held in the community
hall. Mrs. Howard Harris, con-
vener of agriculture and Cana-
dian industries presided, wel-
coming members and guests.
The devotions were taken
by Mrs. Clarence Carswell.
The motto, "Life's field will
yield as we make it, a harvest
of thorns or flowers" was given
by Mrs. Clare Harris. The roll
call was answered by naming
a beauty spot in Ontario.
The feature was a study of
the Province of Ontario, given
by Mrs. Harold Doig. She was
assisted by Mrs. Wray Cooper
who showed slides taken on a
motor trip through Manitoulin
Island, Northern Ontario, Al-
gonquin Park and some slides
taken locally.
The speaker was Ken Mus-
clow of the Maitland Conserva-
tion Authority at Wroxeter. He
spoke on the different phases of
conservation and showed slides
of the several projects in the
Maitland area.
At the close lunch was serv-
ed by Mrs. Goosen Winkel,
Mrs. Anson Demerling and Mrs.
Alice Clyne.
Belgrave
-Mr. Carl Procter is a pa-
tient in Wingham and District
Hospital. We wish him a
speedy recovery.
-Miss Norma Nethery of
Hamilton spent a day with
Mrs. Telford Cook last week
and also visited with other Bel-
grave relatives.
-This community extends
sincere congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Ira Campbell who
will be celebrating their 70th
wedding anniversary Friday,
December 1st.
-Stewart Cloakey is a pa-
tient in Wingham and District
Hospital after being struck on
the head by a falling limb last
Friday, in Robert Procter's
bush.
-Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gib-
son of Listowel visited on Sun-
day with Mrs. Dave Armstrong.
-Mrs. Faye Harcourt, Rich-
ard and Terry of Wingham
spent the weekend with Mrs.
Telford Cook.

the meeting with prayer and
