Quite a few from here atten- ded the sale of household furn- ishings held for Mr, Harold Walker on Saturday. Mrs. Angus Falconer was released from Cooksville Hos- pital the middle of the week. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. An- gus Falconer, Allan and Kevin of Streetsville brought Mrs. Ce- cil Falconer, who spent last week with them, to her home here and they remained for the week-end, Mr. and Mrs. George Currie spent the week-end with their relatives in London. Mr. and Mrs. John McInnes of Kinloss, Mr. and Mrs, Joe Tiffin, Joan, Shirley and Joey were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Orville Tiffin. and Mrs. Mack Cardiff of Brus sels, and also visited there with her mother. Mr. Paul Geiger of Waterloo spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs, Carl MoClenaghan. He left on Monday morning to resume work with Kerr's at bury. They had been delayed in their work due to the rainy weather. Miss Mildred MoClenaghan of Guelph spent a few days last week with her mother, Mrs. Lilian MoClenaghan. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Grosk- orth visited on the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Steph- enson of Brocklin. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Herb Sprague of Toronto, who is Elwood's aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Conley of Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moore the Highway 86 diversion was built. Emerson of W, Wawanosh. Mr. Joe Moore of Wroxeter and Miss Francis May of Gorrie were Saturday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moore. Mr. Jim Robertson of Wells Academy, London, spent the week with his parents, Mr. and. Mrs. William Hodgert and family and Mrs, Annie Harrison of Seaforth also visited at the Robertson home. Anniversary services were held in Belgrave United Church on Sunday and the service at Calvin-Brick was withdrawn so all could attend the anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Lawerence Taylor, Joyce and Doreen visit- ed on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gordon of Kitchener. Mr, and Mrs. Bill Rintoul spent Sunday evening with Mr, THE. NEW SERVICE ROAD to serve properties that were formerly on Diagonal Road at the easterly outskirts of Wingham is now in use. The road became necessary when and family visited on Sunday with Mr, and Mrs, Ivan Laid- Iaw. A birthday party was enjoyed at the home of Arthur Moore on Sunday. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ken Dickson of Delmore, Mr. and Mrs. Bazil Thompson of Preston and Stan- ley Moore of Woodstock, Mr, and Mrs. Terry Elliott and family of Wingham moved into the manse on Friday, We welcome them to the village. Mrs. Maud Haggitt of Pine- crest Manor, Lucknow, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross and Mr. and Mrs. Verbeek attended the opening of the township shed at Holyrood, and the social even- ing held afterwards at the Leg- ion Hall in Lucknow.
