One more week of playoffs
left so good luck girls. Dolly

Bob Angus, league president,
made the trophy presentations.
Winners of regular season bowl-
ing were Mike's Mules: Mike

charme, Eleanor Saxton and

so presented with the Advance-

COMMERCIAL LEAGUE
THE "BLACK LABELS" captained by Don
Cameron, swept honors in the Commercial
Bowling League and were recipients of the
awards for both regular season and play-
offs, seen presented by Jack Walker. Mem-
hers of the Black Labels are, front: Dorothy
Bain, Rita Cameron and Isabel Burke; back
row: Bill Hotchkiss, Bill Templeman and
Don Cameron. The presentation was made
at the league banquet held Thursday night.
IT WAS A clean sweep for Shirley Storey this year as she
captured the Commercial Bowling League ladies' high
triple, high single and high average. Presenting the trophy
to Shirley at the banquet Thursday night is Dorothy Cam-
eron who earned the most improved bowler honor.—A-T

Well, it's all over for anoth-
er year. That final score has
been counted and guess who
came out on top? Don Cam-
eron's team took all the honors,
capturing first place in season's
bowling and then cleaned up by
taking first in playoffs. That
special team consisted of Dot
Bain, Rita Cameron, Isobel
Burke, Bill Templeman, Bill
Hotchkiss and Don Cameron.
The high triple, single and
average went to Shirley Storey
with 809, 323, 211. The men's
trophies were shared by Bill
Hotchkiss with high single of
353; high triple and high aver-
age went to Jim Bain with an
840 and 229. Of course we
musn't forget the most improv-
ed bowler, Dot Cameron, who
also rated a trophy donated by
Eric Walden.
We held our banquet on
Thursday at the Legion Home,
and a most delicious beef din-
ner was served by the ladies of
the Legion. Then those all im-
portant trophies were given out
(I know why the men enjoyed
that little job.) The door prize
was won by Ernie Walker and
cards and dancing finished a
fine evening.
A special thank you to our
spares, for without them the
season wouldn't be complete.
Also the very best to our new
president for next year, Eric
Walden.
MEN'S LEAGUE
It's all over but the shouting
for all six teams in the Men's
League. After three weeks of
playoff bowling, where total
pins counted for trophies, the
Velvet Hammers emerged on
top. The Rum n' Cokes gave.
them a good tussle but just
couldn't muster enough pins.
Congratulations to the winners,
and to the other five teams,
better luck next year.
A reminder to everyone that
next week the Men's League
banquet will be held featuring
presentation of trophies and
election of officers. Let's have
a good turnout.

rolled Monday night were: El-
mer Purdon 291, 265 and a 711
