Clifford • FORDWICH—The Women's
Institute held its April meeting
in the Howick Central School
where Bruce Robertson, princi-
pal, spoke on visual aids used
in the school, lie proved the
old Chinese proverb "I hear and
I forget, I see and remember, I
do and understand". The
equipment shown and explained
was a 1;.; m.m, projector, a
film strip projector, the opaque
projector and a dry copy ma-
chine, two TV sets, a tape re-
corder, pictures and records of
symphony orchestras, a series
of pictures on birds, clouds,
water, etc.
Roll call was a verse from
old school readers, The motto,
"'Tis education forms the com-
mon mind, for as the twig is
bent so the tree is inclined",
was given by Mrs, Harold Pol-
lock.
Delegates to attend the dist-
rict annual in Brussels on May
13 are Mrs. Clarence Carswell,
Mrs, Robt. Gibson, Mrs. Scott

poem, 'Waste not, want not",
and Vicar Jenkins spoke on the
Religion of the Moslems. Mrs.
Ray Simmons was in charge of
program and lunch was served
by the hostess and Mrs. J. King.
