ing of the Women's Institute
Was held Thursday with the
president, Mrs„ Jack Ferguson,
in the chair. The Scripture was
read by Mrs, Lyle Murray,
"Baking with Yeast" was the
first choice for the leadership
training school. The ladies
chose "Never a Dull Meal" for
a forum. The weekly card par-
ties will end this week. Mrs.
Jack Ferguson thanked all for
their co-operation during her
term of office.
Mrs, Emerson Ferguson pre-
sided for the election and in-
stalled the new slate as fol-
lows: Past president, Mrs. Jack
Ferguson; president, Mrs, Har-
old Wallace; 1st vice-pres.,

Len Schmidt on behalf of the
friends and neighbors, They
both replied fittingly,
Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard are
leaving soon to take up resi-
dence in Clifford.
PARTY LEADER WELCOMED—Robert Nixon, leader of the
Ontario Liberal party, second left, was welcomed to the
Huron-Eruce Liberal nominating meeting last Friday even-
ing by Fred McGee, association secretary, Murray Gaunt,
Liberal incumbent, and George Inglis, past president of the

cepted and it was moved to pay
the tax collector the balance of
his salary and exchange. Appli-
cations will be accepted until

12 minutes iri 1 cup of the cooking liquid. Arrange sauer-
kraut or cabbage around pork hocks, 6 servings.
