Home for Senior OitiZenS,
Mington, Ont., Saturday, Ap-
ril 1St, in her 83rd year,
Born in Bluevale, Miss Pat-
erson was a daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Paterson of
illuevale, later of Wingham and
WhitechUrch. In Whitechurch
she resided with her brother the
late Ken Paterson and family
following the death of his wife
which left him with three young
children.
A sister, Mrs. John A. (El -len) Mundell of Birmingham,
Mich,, and a number of nieces
and nephews survive.
Miss Paterson was a member
of Knox Presbyterian Church,
Leamington, and a life-mem-
ber of the Women's Missionary
Society.
Funeral service was held
from the R. A. Currie & Son
funeral home, Wingham on
Tuesday at 2 p.m., the Rev.
James M. Grant, of Leaming-
ton, officiating.

brooke Ave., Willowdale,
a daughter.
Miss J. Thomson
dies in hospital
FORDWICH—Funeral service
was held Friday at the Hardy
funeral home in Harriston for
Miss Janette Thom'son of Ford-
wich, who died in Listowel Me-
morial Hospital on March 29 af-
ter an illness of six months. Rev.,
J. D. Wilkie of Knox Presbyter-
ian Church, Harriston, conduct-
ed the service and burial in 1-lar-
riston Cemetery.
Miss Thomson was born in
Minto Township 56 years ago.
She was the daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. George Thomson.
She is survived by her brother,
Nelson, of Fordwich.
For a number of years Miss
Thomson and her brother farm-
ed in lvlinto. She came to Ford-
wich about four years ago. She
was employed as a telephone
operator with the Wightman
Telephone Company.
Miss Thomson was a mem-
ber of Knox Presbyterian Church
in Harriston, and of St. Anne's
Guild of Trinity Anglican Church
in Fordwich.

preacher, remained in Toronto
over the week-end to be pre-
pared for exams which are now
being held at Knox College.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul,
Donna, Sharon, Doris and Neil
visited Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Cameron and family
of Ashfield.
Mrs. Ben McClenaghan re-
turned home on the week-end
from Brussels, where she had
been at the home of Mrs. Jas.
Anderson for some time.
On Sunday evening Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Rintoul visited with
Mr. George Caldwell at Clinton
Hospital.
Misses Doris Ross, Alma and
Muriel Conn attended the ice
carnival at Wingham Friday eve-
ning.
Mr. Mac Brown, 2nd Con,
Kinloss, had to call the Luck-
now Fire Department on Sunday
evening because of a chimney
fire which, due to the brigade's
prompt action, was quickly
brought under control,
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Walker
of Goderich were Wednesday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
Walker.
Mr. Jim Orr of London visit-
ed the past week with his moth-
er, Mrs. Wm. Orr and Robert of
Langside.
Miss Phyllis Sleighthokn had
her tonsils removed Thursday in
Wingham and District Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Angus Falcon-
er of Streetsville visited here
on Sunday and Allan and Kevin,
who had spent last week with
their grandmother, Mrs. Cecil
Falconer, returned home with
their parents.
Mrs. Dave King is a patient
in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don. This community wishes
her a very speedy recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Neable
and family moved at the week-
end to the house on the farm on
the 6th of Kinlos.„ owned by

owned by Mr. Bert Moffat.

Conn and Murray Coultes, who
last week received word that
they had won bursaries amount-
ing to $2, 500 if all the rules
are complied with.
