There's nothing slow about the people of Belmore -- first to get out their woollies come fall, first to take off the storm windows in the spring, and the first little village to get street lights! Belmore's gals are first with the new fashions; they were wearing mini-skirts before Eng- land ever thought of them, but they called them "last year's clothes that got too small". Yup, nothin' slow about us! Ex- cept this past week, March ist to be exact, one of our residents received a Christmas card in the Mr!. James Struthers of the village is now a patient in Kite chener-Waterloo Hospital, where he underwent surgery last week. We all hope that his condition improves, and that he will soon be able to return to this community, This news item will he short and sweet—our Belmore Squirts played in a squirt hockey tour ,. namem in Mount Forest on Sat- urday. Their opposing team was Creemore and unfortunate- ly, our lads came home with their pants tanned! The score (hut don't spread it around!) was 20-e. By all reports, Crec- wore has a team of the Chicago Black Hawk calibre, and our fellas are 'note the style of the I3osrou Bruins, or at best, the Leafs. Don't feel badly, team, it's all in the way you play the game and if you can lose with a smile, you really are the win- ners. We haven't lost a bit of our admiration for you, either, as a result of the score.
