Mr. and Mrs, Frank Slater
of Strathroy visited on. Sunday
with Mr, and Mrs, Crosby Soth-
eran.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Chic-
mey and children of Port Col-
borne were week-end visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Alex Keith.
Mrs, Peter Browne is spend-
ing a couple of days this week
in Toronto with relatives.
Word was received that Mr,
Harry Anderson, owner of the
Maitland Mink Ranch here, had
passed away in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, and was bur-
led in London last Wednesday.
Mr, and Mrs. Hugh Jillings
and family visited over the
week-end with relatives, near
Kingston.
Mr. and Mrs, Gerald D'Ar-
cy of Huttonville were week-
end visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Earny D'Arcy.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McClem-
ent and Mrs. Ida Gallagher
visited Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Schaefer, near Lis-
towel,
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Dins-
more and Mrs. Mary Sanderson
spent one day last week at the
Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.
Miss Janette Thomson, who
has been confined to Listowel
Memorial Hospital for two
months when she suffered a
fracture of her leg, was trans-
ferred Sunday to Victoria Hos-
pital, London.
Mrs. Mary Sanderson spent
the week-end in Kitchener and
attended the funeral on Satur-
day of her brother-in-law, the
late Oscar Keffer.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ilib-
herd and Mr. and Mrs. Ken
Graham attended the rally of
United Church men in the Unit ,
ed Church in Hensall. Mr,
Hibberd was elected chairman.
Mrs. Emma Williamson re.
turned home after spending
three weeks with Mr. and Mrs.
Bruce Willianison in London,
Mr, and Mrs. Sam Robinson
spent three days last week in
Toronto and attended the Roy-
al Winter Fair,
Mr, and Mrs. Ken Graham
visited a couple days with rela-
tives in Toronto.
Mr, and Mrs. Elmer Millar,
and Grant spent one day last
week in Hespeler and Guelph.
Mrs. C. J. Jacobson and
Mrs. Gary Jacobson, Kim and
Shelly visited one day last week
with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Demer-
ling in Dundalk.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moore
visited on Sunday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bricker in
Baden,

Visitors with Mrs. Winnie
Smith on Wednesday were Dr.
Bert Brown of Weston and his
mother, Mrs. Edith Brown of
Motherwell, Ontario.
Mrs. Winnie Smith visited
with her daughter and son-in-
law and family on Monday at
Blyth, and also with Mrs. Vera
McCrea.
The Women's Institute of
Belgrave spent a most enjoy-
able time at Huronview in Clin-
ton on Wednesday afternoon of
last week and everyone report-
ed a wonderful time spent with
the patients.
The Gorrie Women's Insti-
tute will meet at the home of
Mrs. Norman Wade on Decem-
ber 7 at 8.30 p.m. when Vicar
Jenkins will be the guest speak-
er. Each member is to take a
-card suitable for a shut-in and
also a decorated box for Christ-
mas cheer.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Faulk-
ner, New Toronto, called on
Mr. and Mrs, Norman Wade on
Tuesday. Mrs. Faulkner was
the former Edith Powell, a
daughter of the late Rev. Percy
and Mrs. Powell, a former rec-
tor of St. Stephen's Anglican
Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fairies
and family visited Sunday with
Mr, and Mrs. Elford Fairies, of
Toronto.
Mr. Donald McArthur has
been transferred to the Dorches-
ter branch of the Toronto-Do-
minion Bank.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Gra-
ham recently attended the 100th
anniversary of the First Baptist
Church at Wallaceburg, and
visited Mrs. Jas. McKenzie Sr.
Mrs. Albert Dustow is visit-
ing Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Dus-
Mrs. Ed. Walker was ad-
mitted the first of last week to
Wingham and District Hospital.
Her many friends wish her a
speedy recovery.

sympathy to Mrs. Roy Huffman
in the loss of her husband, to
the family at home, to Mrs.
Fraser Purves and Mrs. Jack
Morrison in the loss of their fa-
ther who was accidentally kill-
ed at Whitechurch railway cross-
ing on Wednesday morning of
last week, Donald Morrison,
driver of the car, underwent
surgery in a London hospital the
same evening.

Mack Scott and Diane of eel-
grave called on Mr. and Mrs.
Russel Ritchie on Monday.
Mrs. Bob Hall and Marjorie
Hall of Wingham were Sunday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Daw-

On Thursday a "dusk till
dawn" light was put on top of
the hydro pole at Tom Iviorri-
son's. This light really lights
up the south end of the village.

to L. O. B. A. Orphanage at
Richmond Hill and $20 for
Christmas cheer for the child-
ren. The next meeting will be
a Christmas,party and members
will take a gift to send to the
orphanage. The party will be
December 13 at 2.30 p. m .
