Gerald Smith and Graemc Craig, appearing for the Huron County Swine Club, described swine health and management, stressing leading diseases, their symptoms, prevention, treat- ment and cure. The f3lyth Dairy Calf Club entry of Ron Howatt and Jim Phelan discussed pasture man- agement, covering the areas of open pasture, zero grazing, strip grazing, emphasizing the value of good shade and water in all types of pasturing. Andrew I lietnstra and Lloyd Michie described proper rations to be fed a junior dairy heifer. F. A. Lashley, secretary manager of the International Plowing Match, has announced that 125 Northern Ireland farm- ers will visit the International Match at Sea forth, October 11 to 14. The party intends to spend about two days studying Ontario farm procedures. Of particular interest to the visitors is the fact that two of their party will compete in classes open to visiting plow- men from outside of the pro- vince. They are Jack Barr of Coleraine and Ritchie Wright of Bailey Bridge. While in Ontario the Irish delegation will he the guests of the Plowmen's Association and the Huron County local com- mittee for the International. Irish Delegation To International Plowing Match Emcee for the program was Don Pullen, assistant represent- ative for Huron. Glen Walden, Lucknow, re- presenting the Huron Holstein Breeders, presented halters to all 4-H members showing Hol- stein cattle for the first time.
