GOME—The 26th Edgar re,
union was held Saturday in Gor-
rie. on the grounds of the Cam-
eron Edgar Apartments. The
102 in attendance came from
Detroit, Toronto, Hamilton,
Islington, Kincardine, Owen
Sound, London, Guelph, Gait,
Kitchener, St. Thomas, New
Hamburg, Sheffield, Paris, Ayr,
Brussels, Listowel and surround-
ing area.
President for 1966 was An-
drew Edgar; secretary, Gordon
Edgar; treasurer, Alex Edgar,
all of Gorrie and Kenneth Ed-
gar of Wroxeter was in charge
of entertainment and sports.

Church on Wednesday evening
was a great success, with a

tation of students who were pas-
sengers on Mr. Hastie's W.D.
H.S. bus, as well asparents and
friends from the Lakelet district
attended the gathering at Gor-
rie hall on Saturday to honor
Mr. Hastie.
Taking part from here were
Mrs. E. Ferguson who gave two
splendid readings and the Wright
sisters, vocal trios. John
Jacques also took part in the
presentation to Mr. Hastie,
Mr. and Mrs. T. L. McIn-
nes visited Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Barton of Kurtzville on Sunday.
Mr. Kenneth Farrish, Goder-
ich, visited Miss Emma Irwin
and other relatives on Friday.
Mrs. Robt. Mitchell is a pa-
tient in Listowel Memorial Hos-
pital.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank King,
Mrs. Wilford King and Mr. Har-
ry King spent a few days with
Mrs. Clara Colorer and Dr. and
Mrs. Wendell Gott in Toronto.

Garden Party
A Success
LAKELET—The annual gar-
den party at the McIntosh Unit-
ed Church last Wednesday was
a success. There was an at-
tendance of about 350.
Anniversary services were
held at the same church on
Sunday with Rev. Alan John-
ston of Brussels conducting both
morning and evening services.
Special music was supplied by
the choir and soloist, Jim Ro-
bertson of Wingham.

Mr. and Mrs. Russel Nickel
of Fordwich were Sunday visit-
ors with Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Scott.
Mr. and Mrs„ Murray Wright
and family of Kitchener were
week-end guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Wright.
