They moved into Southern Ontario on June 11, The show that is of most interest to us is Friday evening, June 17, when they will present a show in our 'neck of the woods', Hanover. For all of you who enjoy Don's Jubilee each Monday evening on CBC-TV, it should be a fine evening of entertainment, so mosey on up to Hanover! This is Don's sixth consecu- tive summer tour. The troupe is travelling by chartered bus. Next year, our Centennial Year, plans are being made for a coast-to-coast tour. Money raised at his shows will be used for special community projects. 0-0-0 Since I said in last week's column that Juliette would not be leaving us next season (al- though her Saturday evening show will), I had better ex- plain. She will be seen in a number of one-hour specials on "Show of The Week". Their quoted "number" now is 'at least two'; one will feature Juliette in the widest possible range of performance, and one will feature her as hostess pre- senting young Canadian talent. The latter is the sort of thing at which she shines. She can make young people feel at ease as no one else can, and they all worship her. As for the first type of show, 'Juliette in the widest possible range of per- formance', it will probably be an evening of singing, talking and smiling, and only the lat- ter two done to perfection! I mean, what else can she do? It takes a great entertainer to hold an audience for one hour -- a alisimiumminsinsiniel lianizonsic he HARRISTON DRIVE-IN THEATRE WED. 15 - THUR. 16 - FRI. 17 THE GHOST IN THE INVISIBLE BIKINI in Color — Stars Tommy Kirk - Deborah Walley — Plus — Guns of the Timber- land in Color — Stars Allan Ladd - 1Frarikite Avalon SATURDAY, JUNE 18 ONLY Dean Martin - Jerry Lewis. in LIVING IT UP — Plus — The Blackspurs in Color — Starring Rory Calhoun, Terry Moore, Linda Darnell and Scott Brady SUNDAY Late Show, June 19 WAR OF THE WORLDS — Plus — The Skull Both in Color (Adult Entertainment> MON. 20 - TUES. 21 WHAT'S NEW PUSSY CAT? in Color — Stars Peter Sellers and Peter O'Toole in this whacky comedy Kiss Me Stupid RE STRICTED To 'MONS if VitAlti of ACM Oit ovrt BROWNIE'S DRIVE-IN THEATRE — CLINTON Come as Late as 11 p.m. and See a Complete Show. In that class, Juliette is NOT! Can she do it? Well, we shall wait and see. Maybe she has hidden talents that we have not yet seen on her Saturday evening efforts. Or perhaps she will be spending the summer reading Shakespeare, or prac- tising the Highland Fling, with maybe even a singing lesson or three thrown in! Despite the little slams about Julie's talent, though, she is the only gal that has held a weekly show on the CBC for ten years. So she may not be the most talented person in show business; she has a personality that would warm the heart of a crocodile, and that has made her a star. And for that, you must give her credit! Other stars with five times the talent come and go because they freeze before a camera. All they can do is entertain, and that is not enough. It's sad, but true. At any rate, I'll look for- ward to that 'Juliette Special'; if it turns out great, guess I'll have to eat these words, with- out relish! _hive Girls' Schedule "Cerson's Cuties" have start- ed their season and have a game scheduled for tomorrow night in Palmerston. The score was 14-3 for Mildmay. The Mildmay team will play the return game here tomorrow night (Friday) so be on hand to cheer the "Banties" to victory. A very stout schoolmistress was talking about birds and their habits. "Now," she said, "at home I have a canary, and it can do something I cannot do I wonder if any of you know ex- actly what that is?" One boy raised his hand."I know, teach- er," he said, "take a bath in a saucer." FISHERMEN BEWARE Watch where you dump those excess minnows. The Ontario Fishery Regulations state that: "No person shall liberate any live bait-fish in waters other than those from which they were originally taken." The pre- caution is to prevent the spawn- ing of coarse fish and subse- quently poor catches. He: "Can I turn off the ceil- ing lights?" She: "Yes, you may." He: ''Can I turn off the hall light?" She: "Sure, John- ny." He: Can I turn out the table lamp?" She: "Why yes, John." He: "Now that it's dark in here can I ask you a ques- tion?" She: "Yes, dear." He: "Do you think this luminous necktie is worth two bucks?" W1-ITECHURCH—The Inter- mediates played Lucknow last Wednesday evening on the Wingham diamond and won the game 9-4.
