Guild of the Anglican Church
met at the home of Mrs, Ruby
Forester, Mrs. Peter Brown
presided, The opening hymn
was followed by Scripture, read
by Miss Louise Matthews. Mrs.
Curtis. Jordan read "The Chris-
tian as a Citizen" from the
study book,
Roll call, "My beef as a
Canadian citizen" was answer-
ed by l.2. members. A report
was given on the garden party
and it was decided to hold a
cleaning day at the church
June 21, Mrs, Jordan and Mrs.
Forester were asked to check
the dishes and Mrs, Wellington
Hargrave will purchase new
dishes that are needed.
Mrs. W. Sothern gave a re-
port on World Day of Prayer
services held in Canadian pro-
vinces.
Friends were sorry to learn
that Mrs. Geo. Anderson was
confined to hospital and a card
was sent to her, Rev. Jenkins
closed the meeting.
Mrs. W. Sothern conducted
a contest and lunch was served
by the hostess and Miss Elva
Foster.

FOIWWICH—The
afternoon unit met at the church,
Mrs. Clarence Carswell con-
ducted the worship service on
the parable of the rich farmer,
She was assisted by Mrs, Cros,
by Sothern, who read the Scrip-
ture.
The stewardship program was
convened by Mrs. Wm, Wilson
and Mrs. Austin Stinson, assist-
ed by Mrs, S. Bride. Mrs,
Stinson read an article about
her niece, Dr. Doranne Stin-
son in Montreal who spent some
time at Frobisher Bay Hospital
caring for the Eskimos.
"This Is My Creed" was sung
by Miss Minnie McElwain. Roll
call was answered with ways to
better serve the church. The
unit will cater for a wedging in
August.
Mrs, Warren Zurbrigg clos-
ed the meeting with prayer and
lunch was served by Mrs. Stin-
son, Mrs. Glenn Johnston and
Mrs, Robt. Gibson.
