Travelogue is
Highlight at U.C.W.
A general meeting of the
United Church Women was held
in the Sunday School room last
Sunday evening with a good at-
tendance. The worship period
was conducted by Unit 1. The
theme centered around The
Good Shepherd as read from
John by Mrs. R. Bennett after
Mrs. Albert Rintoul gave the
call to worship.
The meditation was given
by Mrs. E. Webster and Mrs.
Don MacKay led in prayer. Mrs,
H. France sang " The Lord's My
Shepherd", She was accomp-
anied on the piano by Mrs.W.
W. Currie. Mrs. Rintoul read
a poem, "0 Gracious Mighty
Shepherd".
The highlight of the meet-
ing was a travelogue through
Turkey, the Holy Land, through
Sinai Peninsula, Egypt and the
valley of the Nile by Miss June
Finlay of London. Her pictures
were very colourful and excep-
tional as she had visited a great
many places unseen by most
tourists. These scenes and her
descriptions gave an insight in-
to parts of the world where few
have travelled.
After the business, Units 4
and 5 served tea.
