don, and report her condition is
improving.

mers Presbyterian Anniversary
services, were Sunday visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Walter El-

the anniversary services.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss of
Plattsville brought her father,
Mr. Ben McClenaghan, to his
home on Sunday. Mr. Moss
spent the day with his brother,
Mr. Bert Moss and Mrs. Moss of
Auburn, while Mrs. Moss visit-

Last Wednesday evening Mrs.
Ed. Walker, Mrs. Jas. Currie,
Mrs. Russel McGuire and Mrs.
Frank Ross, on behalf of White-
church Women's Institute, went
to the home of Mrs. Dan Tiffin
at Teeswater to present her
with a F.W.I.C. badge which
was to be a surprise, On their
arrival they found Mr. Tiffin at
home and Mrs. Tiffin was at
choir practice in the United
Church at Whitechurch. The
ladies left the badge with Mr,
Ti ffin.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Gaunt
visited on Thursday with Mr.
and Mrs, Max McFarlan of Lon-
don vicinity.

Bruce South W.I. district an-
nual at Ripley on Friday, Mrs.
Farrier was pianist for themeet-
ing.
Mrs. Victor Emerson ac-
companied Mrs. George Whit,
by of Lucknow, Mrs. F. Gem-
mell of Ripley and Mrs, Don
McCosh to Paisley on Thursday
where they attended the Bruce
East W.I. district annual.
While minister to France,
Thomas Jefferson studied French
cuisine and wrote a cook book
for use in the kitchen at Monti-
cello.

WHITECI-WRCH—Those at-
tending the 26tli wedding an-
niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ted
Collyer held at Holyroed Hall
on Saturday evening were Mrs,
Cecil Falconer, Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Tiffin, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Tiffin, Mr. and Mrs. sill
Evans, Mr, and Mrs. Russel
Gaunt and Mr. and Mrs. Wal-
lace Conn.
Dancing was enjoyed and at
the lunch hour the celebrants
were called to the platform
when an address was read by
Mrs. Lawrence McLeod. Mr.
and Mrs. Collyer were present-
ed with a space saver, lawn
chair and TV tables.
Mr. and Mrs. Collyer thank-
ed their friends and relatives
for their gifts.
