BR WNIE S DRIVE-IN THEATRE — CLINTON Come as Late as 11 p.m. and See a Complete Show. 1 ti 'TIS SHOW Oil ‘sonimf•-• Continued from Page Six fans would agree. A widow, (her second husband died in 1951), she makes her home in New York during most of the year. She also has a summer home at Cape Cod. 0-0-0 Seems to me that people in Canada are the only ones com- plaining about the shows being seen on CBC Television. Can- adian productions are winning nothing but praise from foreign lands, and those in the know about top television entertain- ment. In New York, a special award from the Thomas Alva Edison Foundation, was award- ed to 'Animals and Man', a 13- part series shown on " The Na- ture of Things". The award is a special one, given only when the Foundation's directors feel that a program has made con- tribution to the public under- standing of science. Another CBC winner was "Torch to Tokyo", an hour- long documentary about the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, seen in September of that year, It re- ceived a silver medal at the In- ternational Competition of Sports Motion Pictures at Cot- tina, Italy. Those two awards were add- ed to two others that the CBC received this year. In Febru- ary, the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" won Le Prix Rene Barth- elemy at Monto Carlo; and in March, Beryl Fox and her pro- duction "The Mills of The Gods' won the George Polk Memorial Award as the top documentary of 1965. Canada paid its own tribute to that film, and rightly so, on April 29th, when it defeated twenty-four other films, to van the third annual Wilderness Award. 111111111111111111111111111111111111MIIM111111111.1111116 HARRISTON DRIVEIN THEATRE FRI.-SAT.
