Science Fair
BY DARRYL GIBSON, XIII
On Saturday. several mem ,-
bets of the Mid-Western Ontar-
io Science Fair Committee
went to Windsor. The purpose
of the trip was to attend the
CanadaeWide Science Fairheld
at the University of Windsor.
Here we toured the array of
exhibits from the whole of Can-
ada,
We were most impressed
with the fact that our fair In
Wingham, and our exhibits,
measured up most favorably
with the calibre the Canada-
Wide Fair' and exhibits. So be*
lieve it or not, the. Mid-West»
ern Fair in Wingharn is as good
as all the other fairs throughout
the country; so please support
our fair again next year and
soon we will be better than the
rest.
The members of the group
were Barry Scott, Brian Kerr,
Doug Elliott, Brian Caslick,
myself and Mr. Wood, our staff
advisor, who drove us down. In
addition we brought back Jim

Marine Theme for
Graduation Formal
BY SALLY GALBRAITH
Students' Council Pres.
Friday the 13th was a special
lucky day at the W.D.H.S,
The Students' Council sponsor-
ed the annual spring Gradua-
tion Formal, which was well at
tended and most successful.
The marine theme of the
dance, designed by the Grade
13 students, was carried out
with dark blue and aqua colours,
depicting an underwater scene
complete with a decorated sub-
marine, suspended from the
ceiling as the focal point. To
the mystery of everyone the
sub emitted bubbles and beep
sounds adding to the underwater
atmosphere. Shells, driftwood,
fish nets, sea creatures and
marine murals carried out the
setting for walls and table de-
corations.
The music of the Marcadoes
from Guelph made the evening
enjoyable. A buffet lunch was
served at intermission by a
group of Grade 9 girls.
