Marine Theme for Graduation Formal BY SALLY GALBRAITH Students' Council Pres. Friday the 13th was a special lucky day at the W.D.H.S, The Students' Council sponsor- ed the annual spring Gradua- tion Formal, which was well at tended and most successful. The marine theme of the dance, designed by the Grade 13 students, was carried out with dark blue and aqua colours, depicting an underwater scene complete with a decorated sub- marine, suspended from the ceiling as the focal point. To the mystery of everyone the sub emitted bubbles and beep sounds adding to the underwater atmosphere. Shells, driftwood, fish nets, sea creatures and marine murals carried out the setting for walls and table de- corations. The music of the Marcadoes from Guelph made the evening enjoyable. A buffet lunch was served at intermission by a group of Grade 9 girls. Receives B.A. E, C. Beard, technical dir- ector at W.D.H.
