Joe was reappointed to the office of sergeant-at-arms, After the meeting all enjoyed a banquet at Danny's Restaur- ant. Visitors over the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ar- scott were Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Di Nova, Lorraine, Joann and Joseph of Weston. Mr. Alex McKenzie and Mrs. Neil MacCallum of Luck- now were Friday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Russel Gaunt. Mr. Dan Cassidy spent Thurs- day and Friday with Mr. Hugh Kennedy of Teeswater, Mrs. Wallace Conn, Muriel, George and Alma were Sunday evening guests with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Conley of Wing- ham. Mr, and Mrs. Elwood Gros- korth were in Guelph on Satur- day evening where they at- tended a banquet in the Royal Hotel. Rev. Arthur Jackson of Bel- grave had charge of the Sunday services in the United Church here. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Cope- land and Kevin of Creemore spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robinson and with his parents, at Wroxeter. The U.P.S. held a dance in Whitechurch Community Me- morial Hall on Saturday eve- ning with a good attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Coul- tes spent Sunday evening with Mr, and Mrs. Wilbert Schwich- tenberg and family of Port El- gin. Mrs, Mabel Stapelton spent the week-end in Wingham with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bennett. Our university students com- pleted their exams by Friday afternoon and for many it meant a week-end at home followed by the making of plans for sum- mer work at the beginning of the week. On Monday George Conn and Murray Coultes left for Toronto to locate an apart- ment. Murray begins work this week and George next week. On Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Prank Ross attended the funeral of his aunt, the late Mrs. Neil Philips of Durham, whose bur- ial was in Salem Cemetery. Miss Mildred McClenaghan, Reg.
