contest on Monday evening. She receives
the trophy from Lions District Governor

Workers Quilt
At Meeting
Doris
ams and Mrs. Harvey McMich-
ael were in charge of the Will-
ing Workers' meeting Tuesday
of last week, Mrs. Adam:;
conducted dev,_;tions when
hymns were sung and Scripture
read by Mrs. McMichael. Llev
en members and one visitor
answered the roll wit!: a verse
on mercy.
Mrs. Adams led the study
period on Trinidad, dealing
with the homes and home life.
Mrs. Louttit conducted the
business. Mrs. Wrn, McLean
and Mrs. Lonttit will arrange
for lunch at the April meeting
of the I', C. W,
The ladies quilted and a pot
luck supper was served.
Friendship Unit
Meets at Church
The Friendship Unit of the
Wroxeter U.C.W. met in the
basement of the church on Wed-
nesday of last week,
Mrs. Eldred Gathers and Mrs.
Ken. Edgar were in charge of
the devotional part of the meet-
ing. Mrs. Cathers gave the
call to worship, prayer, Scrip-
ture and the meditation.
Mrs. Edgar introduced the
new study book, Jesus Christ
and the Christian Life and dis-
cussed the first chapter, "The
Good News". She concluded
her talk with a Bible quiz.
Business was conducted by
the president, Mrs. Archie Mil-
ler. She announced the next
U.C.W. meeting on April 6, at
8:30 p.m. when Mrs. Michie
of Belgrave will be guest speak-
er.
A social hour followed with
lunch served by Mrs. Cathers
and Mrs. Edgar.
