Industries meeting of the Wo-
men's Institute was held on
Tuesday of last week. Mrs.
Stanley Cook presided. Min-
utes were read by Mrs. Earl
Anderson who also gave the
treasurer's report.
The Easter meeting was an-
nounced for April 12 instead
of April 19. The executive
meeting of West Huron District
was announced. A motion was
passed that $25.00 be paid for
rent and $25.00 be paid for
prize money to the School Fair,
The nominating committee is
Mrs. George Michie and Mrs.
Stanley Black. The regularcol-
lection and the collection for
Mental Health were received.
Mrs. Garner Nicholson was
convener for this meeting. The
theme was "The greater part of
progress is the desire to pro-
gress". The roll call was an-
swered with "a new product I
have used and liked" and there
were some very interesting
ideas brought forth.

3 cups milk
3 eggs spearated
Bread crumbs cup approx.
Juice of I lemon
Method: Boil mushrooms
whole in 2 cups water and juice
of lemon for 2 minutes. Re-
move mushrooms and chop very
fine. Return juice to stove and
reduce to 1 cup. Chop shrimp
very fine. In a flat sauce pan
melt butter and stir in flour.
Add mushroom juice and milk
and stir rapidly at high heat un-
til mixture boils. The sauce
should be thick. Remove from
heat, add egg yolks and return
to heat, stirring until mixture
reaches boiling point again.
In a large bowl mix the
sauce into the chopped shrimp
and mushrooms, spread this
mixture ont on a dish and re-
frigerate nntil hard.

salt and pepper
3, 4 cup approximately of beet
juice
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp, horseradish
1 cup finely grated cabbage
lettuce and mayonnaise
Methcd: Drain beets and
! save liquid. Dissolve jello in
boiling water. Add salt and
pepper, beet liquid and vine-
! gar. Chill until beginning to
set. Add beets, horseradish and
cabbage. Pour into 11 qt,
mould and chill until firm. Un-
mould on lettuce and serve with
mayonnaise

speaker. She gave a very in-
formative talk ti.e new cur-
riculums, "ApprA,_.11 to the
Miracles".

hits. W. Malcolm McIntyre
of Islington will adress the Lon-
don Conference United Church
Women next Tuesday afternoon
in Wingham United Church.
Mrs. McIntyre was elected
ichairman of the Board of Wo-
men by the 21st General Coun-
cil, meeting in St. John's,
Newfoundland, in September,
1964. Mrs. McIntyre brings to
this chairmanship the exper-
ience of many years of service
in the church.
Mrs. McIntyre was born in
Alliston, where she received
both her elementary and sec-
ondary school education. She
graduated from the University
•-•
of Toronto with a B, A. degree.
After one year at Ontario Col-
lege of Education she taught
high school in Burlington, for
three years.
Mrs. McIntyre was a charter
member of the Kingsway-Lamb-
ton United Church where she
served as a member of the
Committee of Stewards and on
the Missionary and Maintenance
Committee. She also served
through the Woman's Associa-
tion of the Kingsway-Lambton
Church, at various times hold-
ing several offices in that or-
ganization, including that of
president. She was chosen as
president of Toronto West Pres-
bytery Woman's Association and
as vice-president of Toronto
Conference Woman's Associa-
tion. She served on the execu-
tive of Dominion Council of the
Woman's Association and with
the inauguration of the 1.7 .C. W.
Conference United Church Wo-
men.
Mrs. McIntyre has been a
member of the Board of Women
and of its executive since 1082,

Shows Slides
Mrs. Glen Foxton presided
at the March meeting of St.
Paul's Evening Guild on Tues-
day of last week and Mrs. R. J.
Harrison read Scripture.
Mrs. Harrison reported in
her financial statement that the
pancake supper had been suc-
cessful. Mrs. Foxton volun-
teered to help with the junior
choir for April.
Mrs. Alvin Higgins reported
that the old chairs from the
parish hall had been sold and on
motion of Mrs. Robert Ahara
the group decided to put the
proceeds towards the 115 large
and six small chairs now on or-
der.
The Guild will cater to a
wedding early in April. A vote
of thanks was extended by the
members to the girls of the
congregation who had helped at
the pancake supper.
Rev. C. F. Johnson gave the
closing prayer and Mrs. Ahara's
group took over.
Mrs, G. W. Cruickshank was
introduced. She showed slides
taken in England and gave a
very interesting talk on their
trip to that country. She was
thanked by Mrs. Jack King,
who presented her with a small
gift.

Mrs. Ted Fear. Sandra, Marj-

two numbers, accompanied by
Mrs. Arthur Jackson and a solo
was sung by Marjorie Procter.
Mrs. Nicholson moved a
vote of thanks to all who had
helped and lunch was served
