from the Book of Isaiah the
Prophet,
Keywomen were chosen from
each of the three churches as
leaders. They were Mrs. Ralph
Dickson from Knox Presbyterian,
Mrs. Wilfred Johann from Bel-
more United and Mrs. Jack In-
glis from McIntosh United.
Scripture passages were read by
Mrs. Robert Harkness of McIn-
tosh, Mrs. John Dickson of
Knox and Mrs. Earl Fitch of Bel-
more United. Those giving
prayers were Mrs. Walter Ren-
wick and Mrs. Leslie Harkness
from McIntosh, Mrs. Ken Dick-
son from Knox, and Mrs. John
Rutherford from Belmore United.
The choir was comprised of
three ladies from each church,
Mrs. Rutherford, Mrs. Fitch,
and Mrs. Norman Newans, Bel-
more United; Mrs. Gordon
Wright, Mrs. Jack Ferguson and
Mrs. Elmer Haskins, McIntosh;
and Mrs. Douglas McPherson,
Mrs. John Dickson, and Mrs.
Robert Inglis from Knox.
Guest speaker was Miss La-
vonne Ballagh who spoke on the
theme, "Ye Are My Witnesses".
She told of Isaiah's ready an-
swer, 'Here am I; send me',
when God called him to witness
and the work of Christ's discip-
les who followed out their great
commission to make disciples
of all nations. She said that we,
today, must witness for Christ
in all that we do and prove that
the Christian faith is relevant to
everyday life. She was intro-
duced and thanked by Mrs.
Dickson.
At the close of the service
lunch was served by the Knox
ladies, and a time of fellowship
enjoyed.
