The guest speaker was Miss
Webb, a missionary on fur-
lough from Nigeria, West Af-
rica where she has spent 20
years. She showed pictures
and explained her work among
the African people.

WI Card Party
LAKELET—The first Lakelet
card party for the season was
held at the Institute hall on Fri-
day night. Although the crowd
was not large, an enjoyable
time was had by those attend-
ing.
Another such party is plan-
ned for this week.

Ferguson, Mrs. L. Taylor, D.
Dennis and Mrs. N. Harper.

High School commencement
exercises where Jim Robinson
was valedictorian. Jim also won
the top scholarships and several

Pyjama Pets
BELMORE—The fourth meet-
ing of the Pyjama Pets washeld
at the home of Mrs. Dickson.
Roll call was answered by show-
ing a sample of material being
used for the garment being
made and naming a suitable
seam. The members worked
on bias for collars or finishes,
sleeve 'edges and samples of in-
serting corded piping for a fin-
ished edge.
The fifth meeting was held
at the Kieffer home when roll
call was suggestions for improv-
ing the record books. Facings
and understitching were discuss-
ed and demonstrated. Several
girls volunteered to make pos-
ters for Achievement Day.
