Dalton Buried Friday W HITEC HURCH--Charles Louis Dalton, 79, died sudden- ly at his home on Concession 12, West Wawanosh on Tues- day of last week. His farm was formerly owned by William R. Farrier. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth McCarthy and a brother, Joseph, of Flori- da. The body rested at the S. J. Walker funeral home. Requiem high mass at Sacred Heart Church, Wingham, and burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Kings- bridge was on Friday. Leslie Deacon Dies in West Leslie Deacon of Coronach, Sask., and a former resident of East Wawanosh Township, died in Weyburn Hospital at Wey- burn on October 11. He had been ill for the past six months. He was a son of the late Hen- ry Deacon and Jane Chamney and was born in E. Wawanosh 80 years ago, Mr. Deacon was a farmer and a member of the United Church, He is survived by a brother, R. H. Deacon of Guelph, and sisters, Miss Euphemia Deacon of London, Miss Lena Deacon of Clinton, Mrs. Allan (Caro- lyn) Pattison, Wingham, Mts. He had been a pa- tient in the hospital for the past few years. Mr. Wilson was born in Lis- towel, a son of the late Joseph Wilson and Janet Howe. Hewas secretary for many years for the Listowel Fire Department, was a well-known orchestra drum- mer and had played with the Listowel Brass Band. He was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters. Surviving besides Mrs. Clark are a son, Gordon Wilson of Listowel and a daughter, Mrs. Merle Metcalf of Kitchener; two brothers, Jack of Kitchener and Everett of R. R. 3, Listowel; a sister, Mrs. L. 1-I. Bernie of Kitchener and five grandchild- ren. The funeral was held on Fri- day with Rev. David Crawford of Knox Presbyterian Church of- ficiating. Burial was in Fair- view Cemetery, Listowel.
