vice will be held in the United
Church at 2 p.m. This is the
beginning of afternoon services.
The U.C. W. is holding its
Thankoffering service in the
church on Wednesday at 2:30
p.m. The Presbyterian W.M.S.
has been invited to attend.
All members of Whitechurch
Women's Institute are remind-
ed that they have been invited
to attend the 60th anniversary
of St. Helens W.I. on Oct. 7th
at 2:30.
This community was well
represented at Teeswater Fair
where all especially enjoyed
the chuck -wagon races, band
music, the clever horse and buf-
falo acts.

attended the 4-1-1 judging class
held in the forenoon at the Tees.

GOES TO KITCHENER
FOR WINTER MONTHS
WHITECHURCH--Mrs, Claude
Coffin, who has been suffering
from pneumonia and has been
under the doctor's care, was per.,
mitted to go to the home of her
son. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Coffin
of Kitchener where she will
convalesce for some time. John
will reside with his brother,
George and Mrs. Coffin of Galt
and attend high school there.
Since Mrs. Coffin does not
expect to be back here for the
winter she has resigned aspresi-
dent of the Women's Institute.

WHITECHURCH--Mr. and
Mrs. James McInnes on Sunday
celebrated their 35th wedding
anniversary with a wedding din-
ner. The table was decorated
with the wedding cake and a
turkey dinner was served.

COACH CONFIDENT
Mr. R. Campbell is entering
his eleventh year as head -coach
of the Mustangs and hopes this
year's squad will be his ninth
championship team. When ask-
ed how he thought this year's
team will do he replied, "They
will make the playoffs," Mr,
J. Gnay is starting his first sea-
son as line -coach of the Mus-
tangs.
I'm sure the whole school is
with me in wishing the Mus-
tangs the best of luck this year
in bringing the football champ-
ionship back to Wingham.
