ily at their cottage at Stoney
Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Fisher at their cottage at Oak
Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Sim-
mons, Ronnie and Nancy of Lon-
don were Sunday visitors with
her father, Charles Martin, in
Wingham and Dist,rict Hospital
and with Mr. and Mrs. Ezra
Scholtz. Nancy remained for
holidays.
On Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs.
Ben McClenaghan returned home
from Plattsville with their daugh-
ter, Mrs. Harry Moss.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul
and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Purdon
spent Friday at Cardinal, Ontar-
io.

Robinson on Saturday attended
the wedding of their niece,
Anne Robinson, daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. H. Robinson of Walker-
ton. Prior to this, they visited
at the home of his sister, Mrs.
John Kilpatrick and Mr. Kil-
patrick of Arkona, and at the
home of her brother, Eldred
Nichol and Mrs. Nichol of
Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Rob-
inson have now left for their
home in Minneapolis.
Visitors on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Cecil Coultes and
family were Mr. and Mrs. Ron-
ald Coultes and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Bosman and
family and Mr. and Mrs. Dave
Spencer of Montreal.
On Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Al-
fred Wright of Rosemont, and
on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Har-
ry Squibb of Aurora, were visit-
ors with Mr. and Mrs. Russel
Chapman.

Peacock have spent a week at
Resource Rangers' Camp on Lake
Simcoe,
Rev. A. H. and Mrs. Jared
were house guests with Rev.
G. C. and Mrs. Mitchell last
week. During their visit, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Howe, of Tucson,
Ariz., formerly of the Arva
charge, came to call. Mr.
Jared and Mrs. Howe wereboth
born in Hensall and so enjoyed
reviewing memories and ex-
periences of early days.
Mr. and Mrs. George Heth-
erington visited in London on
Saturday at the home of Major
Howard and Mrs. Mills.
Miss Dorothy Douglas has
been visiting with Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Garniss and family. Miss
Douglas, who has been a mis-
sionary under the W. M, S. of
the Presbyterian Church inCan-
ada for 37 years, has returned
to Canada from Tamsui, For-
mosa.
Mrs. M. L. Aitken and Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Street, of Lis-
towel, attended the funeral
service for a cousin, Mrs, Bern-
ald Weatherup, at Tottenham
on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hether-
ington, of Toronto, spent a day
recently with Mr, and Mrs. Geo.
Hetherington before they leave
early in September for Rhodesia,
where both will be engaged in
Salvation Army work.
Mrs. Frank Sharpe, of Tor-
onto, and Mrs. Ross MacLean,
of Kitchener, were Bluevale
visitors last week.
Mrs, W. J. Johnston and Mrs.
Wilson Satterwhaite visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Mathers at
Parkhill last week.
A ball game between the
champs of Oakridge Acres
League, London, and the Blue -
vale team, champs of Morris
League, was held in the Pioneer
Park on Sunday afternoon, the
local team winning the victory.

WHITECHURCH—Chalmers
C. 0.C. met on Sunday in the
Sunday school room with an at-
tendance of ten. In the absence
of the president, Mrs. Hugh
Simpson, the leader, presided
and gave the call to worship.
Scripture was read by Kathy
Purdon.
The C. O.C. hymn and
prayer were part of the worship
service and Mrs. Simpson read
,the minutes. Robert Watt re-
ceived the offering, which was
dedicated by Linda Mewhinney.
Mrs. Earl Caslick, assistant
leader, gave the story, "Neigh-
bours at the Crossroads".
