On Friday evening, Septem-
ber 10th, the Bluevale Women's
Institute will hold Family Night
in the community ball with Mrs.
G. C. Mitchell as convener.
K. C. Musclow, field officer,
will speak on Conservation.
Junior homemaking clubs will
take part in the program. This
will be the 25th anniversary of
the founding of junior home-
making clubs. All are wel-
come.
Mr. Ian Mundell and Miss
Helena Budds, of New York
City, visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Mundell during the past
week.
Sunday visitors with Mr, and
Mrs. Jack Brewer were Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh, of Desboro, Fred
Brewer and Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Westlake of Woodstock, Mr.
and Mrs. Ken McDougall and
Allan and David, and Jerry
Beres, all of Auburn,
Mr, and Mrs. Earl Swann, of
Galt, visited friends in the vil-
lage on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Knute Karlson
of London, and other relatives
and friends in the neighborhood
visited Mrs. Jos. Greenaway and
Miss Dorothy on Saturday, on
the occasion of Mrs. Green-
away's 79th birthday.
DEDICATION SERVICE
HELD AT BELMORE
BELMORE—A special church
service was held in the Presby-
terian Church here on Sunday
morning, August 22, when dedi-
cation
ed -cation was made of four brass
offering plates. The engraved
plates were presented to the
church by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Ballagh, in memory of their
mothers, Mrs. Edna Harrison
and Mrs. Elizabeth Ballagh.
Rev. T. E. Kennedy was in
charge of the dedication service.

Rev. G. C. Mitchell per-
formed the candlelight service
in Bluevale United Church on
Saturday evening, August 21,
when Kathleen Craig, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Craig
of Bluevale and Frank Work-
man, son of Mr. and Mrs. Har-
ry Workman of Brussels, ex-
changed marriage vows.
The church was decorated
with white rosebuds, candela-
bra and blue and white pew
markers. Mrs. Carl Johnston
played traditional music and
evening hymns. Edward Tower
of Streetsville sang The Lord's
Prayer and Evening Prayer.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She wore a
white crystal charm wedding
gown which she had designed
and made herself. The bodice
featured a bateau neckline and
short sleeves. A watteau cath-
edral train cascaded from the
V at the back of the neckline,
and was appliqued with import-
ed chantilly lace scallops. Lace
scallops also bordered -the semi -
fitted skirt. A pearl and crys-
tal coronet held her silk illus-
ion veil and she carried an arm
bouquet of white roses, carna-
tions and baby's breath.
The maid of honor, Miss
Mary Craig of Waterloo and the
bridesmaid, Mrs. Clifford Brew-
er of Bluevale, wore identical
floor -length dresses of French
blue crystal charm. They wore
matching bias cord headpieces,
white gloves and shoes and car-
ried arm bouquets of white
gladioli and blue carnations.
David Marks, Brussels, was
best man, Allan Craig of Au-
burn and Bob Taylor of Bel -
grave were the ushers, and the
head usher was Bill Workman
of Brussels.
A reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents
where the buffet table wascen-
tred with the wedding cake and
decorated with blue tapers and
blue and white streamers.
Out-of-town guests from
Streetsville, Sarnia, Leaming-
ton, Toronto, Windsor, Gode-
rich, London, Niagara Falls,
Wroxeter, Teeswater and Brock-
ville were received by the wed-
ding party and the parents. Mrs.
Craig chose a navy jacket dress
of silk shantung with ruby and
white accessories and corsage
of white carnations. The

BELMORE--Mrs. Alex Sang-
ster was hostess to the August
meeting of the Belmore U.C.W.
held at her home on Wednesday
The president, Mrs. Wilfred
Johann was in charge of the
meeting and conducted a wor-
ship seryice. Miss LavonneBal-
lagh assisted by reading the
Scripture.
The study of the develop-
ment of the island of Trinidad
was continued by Mrs. Earl
Fitch and Mrs. Sangster gage a
report as convener of the com-
mittee on Community Friend-
ship and Visiting.
The minutes were read by
Mrs. Joe Simmons and the roll
call, "A penny for every inch
of height", was answered by the
eight ladies. After the closing
prayer, refreshments were serv-
ed by the hostess.

The bride's grandparents,
Mr., and Mrs. James T. Craig
and Mr, and Mrs. Mark Arm-
strong attended.
For travelling Mrs. Work-
man wore a lime dacron tweed
suit with green and brown ac-
cessories and a corsage of Peace
rosebuds. They will live in
Brussels.
On the evening prior to the
wedding Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Garniss entertained the wed-
ding party at their home.
