Need for Prayer In Everyday Life
WHITECHURCH—Chalmers
Presbyterian W.M.S. met at
the home of Mrs. Albert Mc-
Quillan with 18 ladies and two
children present. The meeting
was opened by the president,
Mrs. Victor Emerson, giving a
poem. The Scripture was read
by Mrs. Robert Ross. Themedi-
tation was given by Mrs. H. D.
MacDonald. Mrs. Frank Coul-
ter led in prayer.
Mrs. George Fisher gave the
topic. She described the power
of Niagara Falls when convert-
ed to electricity and the power
of TV, compared to the power
of prayer as a communication
people have with God. Ifpeo-
ple would use prayer at all
times and not just when in need
in fear or in danger, how much
happier their lives would be.
When people become accus-
tomed to prayer they will tum
to God as naturally as a flower
to the sun. The Glad Tidings
prayer was given by Mrs. John-
ston Conn.
The minutes were read by
Mrs. Russel Ross and the offer-
ing received and dedicated by
