Taylor of Toronto. spent the week -end with her Parents, Mr, and Mrs. Lawrence Taylor and returned to Toronto Sunday evening with Misses Claire and Sandra Chamney of Toronto, who had spent the week -end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs, Clarence Charn- ney, Allan Bosman, Harold Daw- son, Glen Showers and Jim Tay- lor left on Monday for the west where they hope to do harvest work and see the West Coast be- fore they return. Major and Mrs. George Wal- ker of Ottawa, Mr. and Mrs, Alex Walker, Frank and David of Vancouver, and Miss Bertha Walker of Walkerton were visit- ors last week with Mr. and Mrs. tom Ed Walker. Mrs. Walker re- turned on Saturday to Ottawa. with Major and Mrs. George Walker, Stephen and Ross Caslick of Wingham visited a few days this week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caslick. Mr. and Mrs, Ed Robinson of Minneapolis, visited the Robin- son relatives and at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Eldrid Nichol and on Saturday, all attended the wedding of their niece, Miss Ann Robinson, Around 20 members of Cal- vin -Brick U.C. W, journeyed to Goderich and toured the Ontario Hospital and visited with pa- tients, Before returning home they held their birthday tea at the Pavilion at Harbor Park. — Photo by Ernie King. Married at Brussels Kaye Elizabeth Alien of Wingham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Allen, Exeter, be- came the bride of Kenneth A. Ducharme, of Wingham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Augustine Du- charme of St. Columban in a ceremony conducted by Rev. Mooney at St. AmbroseChurch, Brussels, on August 12. MissE. Connolly was the soloist and organist. The bride wore a floor - length gown of organza over taffeta and tulle, fashioned with Chantilly lace bodice form- ing a high scoop neckline, with el- bow sleeves. The controlled skirt was enhanced by a flowing lace Camelot train which swept into a chapel train. Her four - tiered scalloped illusion veil was held in place by a match- ing wedding ring band and she carried a cascade of red roses with white streamers. She was given in marriage by Don Ent- wistle, of London. Her attendants were gowned in floor -length dresses of white lace over aqua organza with aqua back panel and matching cummerbund. They wore aqua bandeau headpieces and carried aqua and bronze feathered mums. Her attendants were Mrs. D. M. Entwistle, Mrs. Ronald Mercy and Miss Phyllis Allen. The best man was Bob John- ston and ushers were Torn Du- charme and Doug Galloway. The bride and groom left on a trip to Florida and Nassau, Mrs. Ducharme wore an egg- shell linen suit with cape for travelling, with mink shade accessories and orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs, Sandy Murray, Kathleen, Phyllis, Alex and Patricia of Sharon, spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs, Charles Tiffin, Mr, and Mrs. Relison Fal- coner, Susan, Lynn and Paulof Bright's Grove spent the week- end here and Brian, who had been vacationing here with his grandmother, Mrs, Cecil Fal- coner, returned home while Paul remained for holidays, Miss Wendy McConnell of Lon- don is also visiting at the same home. Mr. Barry Tiffin of Water- loo spent the week -end withhis parents, Mr. and Mrs. DanTif- fin. On his return he was ac- companied by Miss Mary Pur - don, Misses Anne and Donna Rintoul, and John Coffin, all of whom spent the week -end at their homes. Visitors the past week and on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul were Misses Lynda and Jean Caldwell of Blyth, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lee and Allan of Toronto. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Russel Gaunt on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Arbuckle and family of East Wawanosh, Mr. and Mrs. Don Dirstein of Tor- onto. Mrs. Dirstein returned to Toronto to her work but Mr. Dirstein remained to spend some of his holidays assisting with threshing operations. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mc- Burney, Hugh and Ronald and Mrs. Greg Shiell of Wingham, visited on Sunday with Edgar and Harvey Carr and Miss Iva Carr of Dungannon. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Purdon, Lucknow, Mr. and Mrs. Jack McIntyre of Wingham, Mr. and Mrs. Bill McIntyre of London were also Sunday callers at the home of Mrs. Cecil Falconer, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Tiffin and Mrs. Myrtle Dawson. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Coulter spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Angus Falconer of Streetsville. We are pleased to report Angus has returned home from hospi- tal after a knee operation, but are sorry that arthritis .has set into the leg and arm, which necessitates a rest period. Birthday Party at VanCamp Home BELGRAVE--A family ga- thering and picnic was held on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William VanCamp in honor of Mrs. VanCamp'sbirth- day. Anderson's last Sunday with the Gorrie, Wroxeter and Ford- wich Anglican congregations as he and his family will be mov- ing to London at the end of the month. On Sunday, Sept. 5, Rev. Harold Jenkins will preach his first sermon to the Gorrie, Wroxeter and Fordwich Angli- can congregations, The Gorrie service will be at 11:30 in St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Mrs. Roy Gowdy and Mrs. Ewart Whitfield were the dinner guests of Mrs. Watson Brown of Brussels on Tuesday evening. Miss Cherub Tompkins spent last week at the home of her uncle, Lloyd Tompkins, Lis- towel. Mr. and Mrs: Ralph Tomp- kins and Cherub visited Sunday with Mrs. Myra Perry and with Mrs, Della Henderson, both of Wallacetown. Mrs. Winnie Scott, Owen Sound, spent a few days with Mr. Jim Edwards. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Searson and Edwin spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. George Searson of Hanover and attended the christening of William Alexan- der Searson. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Searson of Kitchener visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Searson. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gowdy visited with Mr. and Mrs. Har- vey Copeland of Wroxeter on Sunday.
