THE COLOURS ARE RAISED for the general salute during
the cadet inspection at the Wingham District High School
on Tuesday when the four -battery corps came to atten-
tion for the area commandant, Brig. W. S. Murdock, OBE,
ED, CD, Western Ontario Area.

School is seen Tined up on the parade square for annual
review by Brig. W. S. Murdock. A march past in column
of route followed in a very smart order.
GUN DRILL was one of the demonstrations put on by the
WDHS Cadet Corps during its annual inspection on Tues-
day. The gun crew demonstrated their skill at sighting
the gun and the loading and firing procedure on the
105mm howitzer.

REVIEWING OFFICER Brig. W. S. Murdock, area com-
mander, Western Ontario area, took the salute during
the march past of the WDHS Cadet Corps on Tuesday
evening. With hirci are Mayor DeWitt Miller, Dr. W. A.
McKibbon, board chairman, Capt. C. L. Scot -Brown, area
cadet officer, F. E. Madill, school principal, and Capt: J.
T. Goodall, OC 99th Fd. Bty. RCA(M), Wingham.

To Send Child to
Summer Camp
The regular meeting of the
Wingham Kinette Club was
held Monday evening with 15
members present. The meet-
ing opened at the bowling
alley where bowling was enjoy-
ed. First prize went to Mrs.
Stewart Leedham, second to
Mrs. Dave Burgess and the low
prize to Mrs. Keith McClure.
The members then went to
the home of Mrs. Leedham
where a short business session
took place. Thirty dollars was
donated to the Golden Circle
School to help with the expense
of sending one of the pupils
to summer camp, A lengthy
discussion followed as to.wheth•
er or not to have the conces•
sion for the booth for the
Orange Day celebration on
July 12. This was left undecid-
ed for thee time being.
Mrs. Bob Wenger gave a
very favorable report on the
spring dance held in Formosa
and urged the members to sell
their tickets for theatre night,
May 12th,.
After a delicious lunch the
meeting was adioumed. The
next meeting to take place on
Wednesday, May 26th et the
home of Mrs. Alan Williams.
