The annual meeting of the
Wingham and District Hos-
pital Association will be held
on Friday, February 5, 1965,
at 8 p.m., in the Recreation
Room CP the Nurses' Residence
at Wingham. All matters of
business pertaining to the
Wingham and District Hos-
pital Association will be trans-
acted including the election of
directors and other officers.
In order to cast a 'ballot in
the election of directors a per-
son must be a member of the
Association. One-year member-
ships .may be obtained for the

suddenly at This home, Apple -

his 60th year. Beloved husband

Wingham. Mr. Washburn rest-
ed at the funeral home of
Skinner and Middlebrook, at
Port Credit, until Monday at
11 a.m. and then to Luke's
Church at Port Credit for ser-
vice at 1 p.m. Interment in
Springcreek Cemetery, Clark-
son.
Albert Wight
Dies in Watford
Albert George Wight passed
away in the Parker Nursing
Horne, Watford, on Thursday,
January 28th, in his 95th year.
Mr. Wight was born in Dur-
ham County, near Bowman-
ville, the second son of the late
William and Sarah (Rumford)
Wight. In 1866 he went with
his parents and family to Bos-
anquet Township.
His father purchased the
Wight homestead, situated on
No. 7 Highway; half way be-
tween Thedford and Arkona.
Albert Wight purchased the
homestead from his father in
1905, and lived there until he
retired to Arkona in 1948.
Mr. Wight was twice mar-
ried. With his first wife, Alla
Theo White, he lived for some
years in Eastern Ontario. Mrs.
Wight died on the old home-
stead in Bosanquet in 1930. Mr.
Wight later married Mary Dow
Martin of Huron County who
predeceased him in April, 1958.
Mr. Wight took an interest
in municipal affairs. Ile was a
Bosanquet councillor and later
deputy -reeve. During the time
it operated, he was a director
of the Arkona Cheese Factory
and for many years its chief
salesman.
Mr. Wight was a member of
a family of seven sons and
three daughters, of which Dr.
David J. Wight of Charlotte,
Michigan is the only surviving
member. Brothers predeceased
are William J. of London, Frank
of Pt. Huron, Arthur of St.
Thomas, Fred C. of Bosanquet,
Lawrence of Alberta, sisters:

Brantford, Mrs. J.l:,(Rosa M)
Hill of Brantford, and Mrs.
Frank (Ada) Wakefield of ('ort
Huron.
Mr. Wight is predeceased by
one daughter, Mrs. John A.
(Georgina) McIntyre of Forest
who died in March, 1963. Ile
is survived by two sons: Floyd I„
Wight and Gordon ll,, Wight,
both of ilosanynrt Township.

and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral was on Monday,
with burial in Arkona Cemetery.

braith and their son, Kenneth
of Orange Hill, visited Friday
afternoon with relatives and
friends at the Peebles funeral
home, Atwood, where Mrs.
Galbraith's cousin, the late
Mrs. Andrew McKee was rest-
ing. Mrs. McKee passed away
at her home in Winnipeg on
Tuesday evening. Mr. and
Mrs. Galbraith attended the
funeral on Saturday and burial
was in Mount Pleasant Ceme-
tery, Ethel.
Those in hospital from this
area are Mr. Vernon Hupfer
and Mrs. James Alcorn, who
both underwent surgery, Mrs.
Frank Wright and Mr. Richard
Griffith.
