Christmas Concert
At St, Stephen's
GORRIE-On Friday evening
$t.. Stephen's Sunday School en-
joyed the annual Christmas en-
tertainment, Rev. G, A, Ander-
son presided for a variety pro-
gram of recitations, dialogues,
etc., under the direction of
Mrs, Leonard Sanderson.
Ronald and Roland Bennett
gave violin selections. The
Junior Auxiliarji presented a
Christmas candlelight service.,
Miss Gail Dinsmore was pianist.
At the conclusion Santa ar-
rived and presented the children
with gifts and candy. Lunch
was served by the ladies.
There will be a service on
Christmas Day at 11:30 a.m.
and a Christmas Eve Commun-
ion service at 9:30.
SCHOOL RINK
WINS BONSPIEL
WROXETER-Carrnen Nixon,
husband of a local girl, Wilma
Haugh, who teaches grades 7
and 8 in Blantyre School, Scar-
borough, entered a rink made
up of his pupils in a curling bon -
spiel there last week and won
out over 40 rinks. Each receiv-
ed an $11.00 voucher from Tip
Top Tailors.
Dinner for Council
At S. Procter Home
Morris Township Council
held its final meeting for the
year on December 15.
Appointments to high school
board were made. Mel Craig
will sit on the Wingham board;
Clarence Martin on the Sea -
forth board and Boyd Taylor on
the Clinton board.
Reeve and Mrs. Stewart Pro-
cter entertained the council at
dinner in their home after the
meeting.

being pestered by a stream of
questions from Junior. "What
do you do down at the office,
Pop?" he asked. "Oh, nothing!"
snapped the frustrated parent.
Junior pondered this for a while.
Then he queried, "Say, Pop,
