SEI,MORE-The sixth meeting
of the Guardian Angels was held
in the Community Centre on
Monday with ten members out
of twelve in attendance,
Jane Woods read the minutes.
Roll call was a hazard, in the
borne and what the club mem-
bers should do about it. It was
decided to combine meetings
seven and eight on December
14.
The topic, "Care of the
Body", was given by Mrs, Jo-
hann. Cheryl Haskins, Jane
Woods, Corrine Kieffer and
Marlene Inglis gave a skit on
Safety in the Home,

LAKELET-The fifth meet-
ing of the Safety Sals was held
at the Institute hall when roll
call was answered by naming
the person whose story was en-
tered in each record book.
Notes were given on safety in
the home, and outside the
home.
Guests at this meeting were
Chief Constable George St.
Marie of Clifford and Provincial
Constable Delroy Bonham of
Stayner, who presented valu-
able information on traffic laws
and traffic safety. They ans-
wered questions from the mem-
bers. They were thanked by
club president, Louise McComb,
and presented with gifts.
A committee was appointed
to prepare a skit for the next
meeting.

Unit of the United Church Wo-
men met in the church base-
ment. Mrs. Scott Clarkson
presided. Several passages of
Scripture were read by Mrs.
Ken Graham, Mrs. Elmer Mil-
ler, Mrs. Jack Brown, Mrs.
Lorne Siefert, Mrs. Harold Pol-
lock, Mrs. Mel Allan and Mrs.
Jim Douglas. A Christmas car-
ol was sung between each read-
ing.
Mrs. Mel Allan and Mrs.
Les Loughran, each gave a
Christmas reading. Election of
officers was: conducted with
Mrs. Lorne Siefert and Mrs.
Gerald Rome dividing the pre-
sident's duties for 1965. Mrs.
Scott Clarkson closed with ben-
ediction and a social hour was
spent.

Is Again President
BELMORE-As a special
Christmas message for the Dec-
ember meeting of the W. M. S.
of Knox Presbyterian Church,
Mrs. H. Ballagh told the story
of "The Other Wise Man" and
its author, Henry Van Dyke.
Mrs. E. Jeffray, the presi-
dent opened the meeting with
a call to worship. Seven mem-
bers answered 'the roll call by
naming a favorite carol. Mrs.
Glenn Appleby, in her report of
the Mission Band, listed the
following with perfect atten-
dance: Ted Appleby, Ross Jef-
fray, Ronnie Nickel, Kathy and
Phyllis Darling, Nancy Ballagh,
Wayne Ballagh, Twyla Dickson,
Brian Jeffray, Glenn Jeffray,
Donna Jeffray, Doug Nickel and
Doreen Nickel. Of the Explor-
ers, Grace Jeffray, Ruth Mac -

WROXETER-The December
meeting of the Wroxeter Wo-
men's Institute under public
relations was held in the Corn-
munity Hall on Tuesday of
last week in the form of a
Family Night with approxi-
mately 50 people attending. A
dinner preceded the meeting.
The roll call, "Donations
for the Christmas cheer boxes",
brought an excellent response,

the tables were being cleared,
Progressive euchre followed,
the prizes going to the follow-

The story of the first Christ-
mas morning according to St.
Luke was read in unison and
Mrs. Jeffray read Isaiah's pro-
phecy of the birth of Christ.
Mrs. H. Ballagh gave a medi-
tation on these passages and
Mrs. A. Mundell led in prayer.
