returned home after spending
some time with her daughter,
Mrs. John Moffat, Mr. Moffat
and family, at Byron.
Mr. Wilfred Lynet spent a
week -end at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Albin Weiler on the
second of Culross, recently.
He is expected to come home
for Christmas, if the weather
is favorable, after which he
will return to Lyndhurst Lodge
in Toronto, where he has been
a patient for some time,
Mrs. John Harper is conval-
escing nicely in Wingham and
District Hospital, where she
underwent surgery a few weeks
ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Bal-
lagh and Lavonne spent Tues-
day of last week with Mr. and
Mrs. Claude Bronson and fam-
ily of Elmira.
The first public skating
held this year was attended by
the neighborhood's youth on
Wednesday evening, on the
non -artificial ice surface in
the Community Centre. Hock-
ey was played on Saturday,'
when some of the local junior
Gordie Howes got together for.
a practice session.

town spent the week -end at his
home here.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Douglas
and Wayne were Saturday eve-
ning dinner guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Maynard Riddell and
family, at Newry.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Zinn
and family of Dungannon were

R. 1, Gorrie, who had the highest number of points in 4-H

financial statement which
showed the ladies had a suc-
cessful year. Mrs. Strong re-
ported for the Senior Guild,
Twelve members answered the
roll call with a verse on
Advent.
Mrs. Foster gave a chapter
from the study book "Mary the
Mother of Jesus". A donation
of $100. was given to the
church treasury and $125.00

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Wright of Lake of Bays visited
several days last week at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Sunday visitors with Mr, and
Mrs. Elmer Zinn.
A large number of friends
from Mildmay, McIntosh and
Belmore, attended the Open
House held at the manse on
Sunday afternoon and evening,
when Rev, and Mrs. Steven
and their family opened their
home to members of their con-
gregations. Members were
taken on a tour of the manse,
and served refreshments by the
Hi -C Group of the three
churches.
