Lila Black Wed At Wingham Manse
WHITECHURCH- The Pres-
byterian manse in Wingham
was the scene of the marriage
of Lila Margaret Black, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley
Black of Belgrave and Leroy
Graeme Rintoul, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Rintoul of White-
church on August 21 at seven
o'clock in the evening. Rev.
Gordon Fish officiated.
The bride wore a floor -
length dress of white nylon or-
ganza over taffeta, The organ-
za overskirt featured net trim
and the front of the skirt was
enhanced with appliqued lace
flowers. The simple bodice
and short sleeves were trimmed
with cup sequins and simulated
pearls. There was a bow at the
waist in front and a self -mater-
ial bow at back. Her shoulder -
length veil was held by a pill-
box headpiece and she carried
bouquet of red roses.
The maid of honor was Miss
Mary Nesbit of Blyth. Her
dress was orchid lace and chif-
fon with a fitted bodice of or-
chid organza over white lace'
and chiffon, The neckline was
scooped and the sleeves were
short. The full gathered skirt
of chiffon had a bow at the
waist. Her headdress was a fa-
bric rose with a small veil. She
carried a nosegay of tinted
mums with orchid net to match
her dress.
Gary Rintoul, brother of the
groom, was best man.
The couple left on a wed-
ding trip to Southern Ontario
and Northern United States.
Mrs. Rintoul wore a three-piece
navy suit with white accessories
and a corsage of red roses. The
will live on the groom's farm
near Wingham.

Wed at Chatsworth
A wedding of interest to
residents of Wingham tookplac;
at Chatsworth United Church
manse on Saturday when the
Rev. Russel Finley united in
marriage Miss Mary Elizabeth
Love, daughter of the late.Mr,
and Mrs, George W. Love of
R. R. 4, Chatsworth and George
Harold Cook of R, R. 4, Tara,
son of Mrs. Jas. Cook and the
late Mr. Cook of Tara,
Mrs. Love was Martha I.
Breen, a native of Wingham.
The bride wore a pale blue
street -length dress, small
white velvet pillbox hat with
veil and blue shoes. Her cor-
sage was pink Happy Day roses,
white baby mums and fern.
Mrs. Ivan S. McKibbon of
R.R. 4, Chatsworth was attired
in a coffee shade embroidered
shantung dress with matching
accessories. She wore a cor-
sage of bronze pompon mums
and yellow toned roses with
gold streamers.
The groomsman was Camer-
on Abra of R. R. 3, Owen Sound.
A reception was held in the
United Church hall at Massey.
The bride's aunt, Mrs. W. G.
Breen of Durham, received the
guests. She wore a grey and
blue toned crepe dress with
black accessories and a corsage
of pink carnations and white
baby mums. The groom's
mother wore a navy silk crepe
dress, matching hat and corsage
of pink carnations, baby mums
and fern.
For travelling to points in
Northern Ontario the bride
wore a two piece pale blue lin-
en suit with a three-quarter
length coat and white accessor-
ies. Upon return they will
make their home on the grooms
farm at R. R. 4, Tara..

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Zinn
were Sunday guests of Mr. and
Mrs. John Worden and family,
near Stratford.
Rev. Douglas Steven was
guest speaker at a memorial
service held in Mildmay Evan-
gelical United Brethren Church
on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Ronald Moore, who has
worked for the past two months
on the farm of Mr. Elmer Jef-
fray, left on Monday for his
home near North Bay. Mr.
Moore is a nephew of Mrs. Ken
Dickson of the village.
Special anniversary services
will be held in the Presbyterian
Church on Sunday, September
13th, at 11 a, m. and 7:30 p.
Guest speaker will be Rev. R.U.
McLean of Clinton.
